Starcevich Resigns

Starcevich has resigned from St Kilda.

Has been in Brisbane since Christmas for apparent family reasons. Don't know the story behind the scenes there but does anyone know the circumstances of his leaving Brisbane. Seemed to have been some quiet mutterings about his methods. Was he to blame or the scapegoat for the injuries that we had in 2005?

Maybe Riewoldt's injury was the final straw?

More than likely it was just coincidence with that injury and this week was the time that a decision HAD to be made or that this week it became clear beyond a doubt that the family issues were going to keep him here.

As for why he left us - nothing sinister there at all. Mutterings were just that - no substance or scapegoate. It was a hard decision, but the choice was made that it was time for a change, to 'freshen' things up a bit and try new methods with the new team that was coming together.

Hi, new poster here. I've posted my first in "Daniels' Den". About Starce, I've gotta say I'm one of those supporters who dislike it when one of Us decides to move to somewhere else. You make your bed you lie in it. Not to be disrespectful to whatever situation is bringing Starce back here.....

I have, in previous posts said that Starcevich was a bad more, probably the best thing that could happen to the saints now that he has gone.
