Fixture: Clarence v North Hobart at Bellerive, Lauderdale v Burnie at Lauderdale, South Launceston v glenorchy at Aurora (2pm), Devonport v Launceston at Aurora (4:30pm), Hobart v North Launceston at TCA (Sunday)
This weekend is another crucial weekend for teams in the top 6, especially Devonport and Launceston who are either side of 6th place at the moment. Launceston have bounced back to the form we have expected of them for most of the season to date while Devonport's bright start has faded rapidly as they hang onto 6th place for now. Can't see the Magpies challenging the Blues here, Launceston to win easy.

Clarence play North Hobart and while the Demons don't have too bad a record at Bellerive, it will be a tough task against a Roo's outfit that are just keeping on. Robbie Devine's 200th this weekend will be a big motivator for the Demons but the Roo's should prove too good here.

The other games should result in wins to Burnie, Glenorchy and North Launceston, although don't be surprised if Hobart provide a very stern challenge to the Bombers.

Tips: Clarence by 35, Burnie by 60, Glenorchy by 50, Launceston by 70, North Laun by 8

Absolutely fantastic win by the Tiges up at the TCA today :thumbsu:

In front of a crowd of a bit over 500, it was pretty even in the first quarter with a goal to each side.
The conditions were muddy in the centre square and a bit on the stand wing but otherwise reasonably ok all things considered.
The Bombers led by 8-points at half time in a hard and tough struggle which had the occasional bit of spite, Hobart were doing fantasticly well to stay in the game given that virtually their entire forward line had been obliterated due to injury and North Launceston were HEAVILY advantaged in the free kick count, 19-4 at one stage near half time, which was earning the wrath of the supporters present.
Bass did his knee at Glenorchy last week and was out and Cassidy was unavailable as well, Jarratt Horton went off injured so the team were back to bare bones by the the second quarter but hung on valiantly.
The third quarter saw Hobart blow the game apart booting 5.4 to 0.1 kicking to the Smith Stand end to take a 25-point lead into the final change.
The Bombers threatened to run over Hobart in the last quarter, reducing the margin to about 8-points midway through the final quarter but the Tigers steadied and snagged a couple of quick ones to hold on and win by 23-points.

Given the circumstances that was a terrific win :thumbsu:

An interesting observation was one Matthew Armstrong sitting in the Main Stand taking notes and watching Hobart quite intently throughout the entire four quarters.

Hobart beating North Launceston...Brings back great memories of 1990 GF. :D

Yup! And the '89 & '92 Prelim Finals as well :p
Geez they are far cry from the old North Launceston Robins we all knew and hated from back in those days though, both and off the ground.
Still a few bogans following them but nowhere near the numbers that once did.
Having said that, they brought more opposition supporter noise to the TCA than what North Hobart did.
