Qld should win this one, too much passion. I predict 28-8. :D Lockyer back, the old has-been Fittler has been dragged out of the dust bin and NSW are desperately scrambling for halves.

I heard something about Brett Finch being called up to play after Gower, Kimmorley and Orford were all ruled out :p:p:p

1 and a half hours to go cant wait

Predictions

NSW by 10
MOM-freddy fittler
Lockyer will be sidlined by halftime

lots of tears from QLD supporters:
blaming the refs, goldenpoint, playing surface, phil Gould,UFO's,on the loss. Then i expect someone from their camp to say"why do we need to play a 3rd game?"

NSW 2 converted tries in the first half thanks to Fittler and Fitzgibbon.

They lead half time 12 - 0

QLD hit back with an unconverted try by Wesser in the 55th minute to bring the scores to 12 - 4.

Things are looking pretty low for QLD and in the 70th minute, Lockyer scores the try and it's convtered. Brings the scores to 12 - 10.

Are things over for the QLD camp?

78th minute Lockyer runs over the line again to put QLD in front. It's converted and QLD win 16 - 12.

Final Scores
16 - 12

QLD by 4.

MOTM - Lockyer.

Disgusted by the laziness of the NSW team in the second half, NSW fans at the ground, if any, do mass suicide. And scream out "HOW DID WE LOSE, HOW DID WE LOSE? WE SHOULDN'T HAVE."

I'm not a rugby fan, but how did that sound?

Billy Slater - what a try and what a star
Lockyer - best in the world
Freddy Fittler - poor loser, big whinger after the game
Gus Gould - yet again walks away before the final bell, stop sooking Gus
Rhys Wesser - gave me a heart attack several times

Game III - The Decider

ok this is not sour grapes but i actually thought lockyer had a poor game.his kicking in general play was terrible, and several of his passes went to ground.

he is much better than he shown tonight

It was a game of 2 completely different halves.

Finch and Fittler went missing when the game was up for grabs - although we didn't have much of the ball in the 2nd half. Finch was superb in the 1st half, kicked well and ran the ball.

Qld just had a monster 2nd half. All their "little blokes" ran us off our legs.

We had several blunders that cost us dearly.
Danny boy runing the ball on the 6th,
Tahu not taking the ball and Freddy's pass to no one.

Hampstead had an average game, there were heaps of forward passes that were missed as well.

Hopefully Scotty Hill gets back into this team.

Guys to get the flick for NSW:

Waterhouse
Stevens
Kite
Fittler

When the heat was on late in the game, it was Lockyer's kicking out to Tahu's wing that were the most threatening and he handled the ball more than anyone (apart from the fact that he is the 5/8). Our movements were a lot smoother with Lockyer involved and being the general. His tackling was also very strong. Our backline just gets such great service with Lockie at first receiver.

This is sour grapes. I would like to have another look at the Carlaw try and see where Slater was when Lockyer kicked. A quick scan across the park when Lockyer kicked it and I thought Slater was off side, then interferred with Tahu. Ch9 didnt show this and the Hampster awarded a try without consultation with the video.

1. Also can someone tell me what is the rule re offside when a player kicks it. Do you have to have your whole body behind the ball or any part of you body?

2. Also can someone explain to me how far 10 metres is?

3. Also can someone explain to me the rules when holding down players after beind tackled?

I am not sure about Q1. but I will pass the answers of Q2 and Q3 on to that useless pryck with the whistle.
