Is anyone having problems with Steam? Last night it seemed to ******** itself then today I still can't get on. The forums appear to be down too so I figure it's them not me but just to double check, anyone else have problems?

Seems like most of the world is having problems with it. Man, Valve ********ed up so badly with Steam. It's so stupid that just because they're having problems you can't even play HL2 offline. I payed to play a game not wait for them to pull their finger out and fix their ********.

I don't like Steam either what was worse is that they put copy protection (securom I think) on their as well, I am so happy they patched the game up and you no longer need the dvd in the drive.

A crappy system where it downloads critical files so game's like Half Life 2 will play, also downloads critical updates. It is a piece of rubbish (imo) and is mainly (guessing here) used to help prevent piracy (the crackers managed to crack it though), and download Valve games that you can order via the net.

It was supposed to be this fantastic system that would totally change the way we played games, forever. In fact all it's managed to do is stop how we play games and force us to view Valve ads for products we already own. Idiots.
