I bought this game on sunday, as I was bored and thought why not
Th early reviews of this game are mixed I must say
You either love it or loath it. I'm in the almost love it camp I must say. This is not ssx nor is tony Hawke either
Graphics wise it looks a smidgen bland but it's snow ...it's white and fluffy and has some nice touches like seeing your trail in the snow and footprints
The glare and sun look great. So far I've enjoyed the wingsuit play the best but either of the disciplines is great. It has four to play so you'll get variety.
The mountain is massive - 256 sq km in size and exploring it is part of the game, at times you'll have to walk up a mountain to get somewhere. The mountain looks amazining. The part of the game that I like is you have to find other runs to explore then go there using the binoculars to spot them, thankfully once you see within a certain distance you don't have to go all the way by foot or board to go use that run.
Controls wise it takes some mastering ..it's definitely a simulation but has some arcade elements to it which I like. It has emdlesss online activity and you'll see other boarders on the slopes
There's heaps of outfits and boards, skis and so on to choose from making it quite endless
There will heaps of DLC also
If you don't like snow games don't buy it ...if you do I suggest you'll enjoy it
It's fun to just explore the mountain ...it's classic case of enjoying the journey as opposed to thinking I just want to get to the end. As I'm playing more I'll post more thoughts and observations
I would give it Eight of ten
