swannies happened twice once in the nineties can't remember when and then again in the thousands early in woosha's coaching career fletcher tripped judd when we were getting a run on, which left juddy limping for the rest of the match pretty sure we finished 6th and they 7th and had to play over there
Nah they finished higher in that season in the 2000's.

What a season!!!

Anyone look at the ladder and see we have won 5 straight and Freo have lost 5 straight!! Good times!!!

Easy to get ahead of our selves though and although it would be great to win a final but as long as we are competitive in the finals I will be a happy man!!

if we win our remaining games we will finish 17-5...... equal best ever record. ..... i doubt the negativity will stop though

I will never feel pain for them after we didn't get the home final for finishing higher on the ladder, can't remember exactly which year in the 90's, that we should have got. :(

'96 was the most annoying one I can remember.
But specifically soft/poor calls in close games against Essendon especially at Etihad.

And dropping games against the Bombers/Hawks/Swans/Saints we should have won as well.

Realistically, the only game we didnt even look competitive in was the Collingwood game. The rest we should have won or were in a winning position.

Awesome year. Too many positives to mention and hardly any negatives. What really excites me is next year. I'm certain West Coast will be very very aggressive during trade week and net us a very very good player.
Collingwood, Carlton & Hawthorn have been able to attract some half decent talent the last few years due to their bright future. Now it is our turn. K.Stevens, C.Wilson, B.Ebert, A.Strijk, M.Brown, C.Masten, T.Swift. First round pick.
We have some room to move unlike other years. I'm not declaring trade them all or any of these players but for the right deal in the right situation????????????????
This year unlike others the Eagles with try to snare a key player for our grand plans. Now youth is not the only focus. No?

Convenient :D

Something interesting about that ladder. The Hawks have supposedly had a bad run with injury, but they've used the same number of players as us. The Pies have blooded a few recently but still sit one behind us.
