Step Siblings

Someone raised an interesting point in a thread in entertainment so i thought i'd bring it up here.

People dating (and sometimes marrying) step siblings. Is this a pretty common thing, do you have any stories?

From what i can remember, one of Lindy Chamberlainds kids married a step sibling.

Do you feel weird about it, whats your thoughts?

well you're not blood-related and for example if you don't meet till you're in your teens so you only have a couple of years together in the new 'family' you're unlikely to have time to form a 'sibling' relationship. i can see how it can happen

I can sort of see how it could happen but at the same time i have a step brother and um.. no way i couldnt bear to think of it, its way too weird.

I guess it depends on different circumstances, ie, if your parents married to each other (or if they were only just dating), how long you grew up together, etc?

But no.. methinks its too odd.

That is really strange but I can see the point that obviously if somebody didn't know that they had a sister or a brother and find out that they are step siblings. I think that they would still love each other very much. As long as they love each other and don't fight like cats and dogs it is ok.

Marrying step siblings is a great way to keep the money in the family. But if there is no money it's just wrong.

Its surprising how common it is for potential pedos to marry single parents in order to prey on one of the kids.
Its also not unusual for them so spend years gaining trust before 'striking' so to speak.

People in this situation need to be very careful.
