Fleming is a legend.

When he was setting his field with Vettori when bowling to Waugh he asked Vettori if he wanted a fieldsman on the roof as last time the Kiwis toured Waugh hit him for a huge 6 onto the roof

Today he got McMillan to wave his arms like a duck when bowling to Gillespie as Dizzy did that earlier in the game.

He is also a top batsmen and a great captain

I too am quite a fan of this chap, for he has not only a strong tactical sense of the game but the cockiness and self-belief to drive himself and his men to results most don't believe they are capable of.

They are a fine side, are New Zealand and I'm going to climb out on a limb and state that the next time they tour they will probably take the series. For they are still a young side and do not have the tendency to sook when things do not go their way, which is a rather poisonous malaise that has recently affected our greedy and at times rather lazy team. No, New Zealand do not EXPECT to win, but they damn well are prepared to give it a shake and take the final result with good grace and humour.

And gee, they are very entertaining to watch too! Their batsmen run the gamut from attackers to dour stonewallers and each has an unique, distinct style. Sadly their bowling stocks are a tad undernourished but Cairns is great value and Vettori is on his way to becoming a modern day great (he may be there already). They never give up, these lads, and I believe a great deal of credit for that quality must go to their ballsy, inspiarional captain. Now although New Zealand does not have the population to ever threated the Aussies on a regular basis, this current crop will certainly give us many a run for our money over the next decade or so. And good on 'em.

I like the way New Zealand plays. If more talented sides such as Pakistan and the Windies put the effort into their fielding and played with the Kiwis spirit they would be a far better side.
And their effort was remarkable considering the size of their population compared to ours.
