How does Ross Lyon show faith in this bloke. Pretty much single handedly cost the Saints yesterday and has not stood up in any BIG finals. Questions need to be asked.

Should the saints delist him?

One of the best small forwards in the competition over the journey. Shithouse thread.

Yes over the journey but come the crunch he goes missing. So how does that make it shithouse, its fact. Him and Davis are as bad as eachother. Light up the H&A season but come September they crumble under pressure.

Errr good players get you into GF's, mate.

Western Bulldogs would take both Milne and Davis in a heartbeat if they had the chance. As they should.

You knob. The basis of this thread is that come finals he goes missing. He does not deliver the goods when needed! FACT. So should the saints look to trade or delist him because he has certainly had enough chances!

I think with Aker, Higgins, Gia we should be sweet. :thumbsu:

Went missing as soon as the slightest bit of physical pressure came at him from James Kelly.

Had a good season, but I don't think you can't count on him come finals time.

Only the tougher small forwards e.g Chapman really stood up in finals this season.

I'd be happy with any of the Bulldogs's decent small forwards than Milne, and even schneider.

I'm more than happy with Chappy Byrnes Stokes Varcoe x2 > Milne

You are calling me a knob?! The OP asks whether people think that Milne should be delisted or traded by the Saints and then you proceed to tell me that i cannot bring his H&A form into the debate. Are you seriously trying to tell me that a club is going to delist a player based purely on finals form?

He and his mate Schneider you could have strangled them both yesterday , some of the misses were unforgivable. Not sure what you do with Milne, he is a proven H&A performer but obviously has the same impact as leon davis in finals. Lyon has been on his back lately, maybe he will be cut in the fallout ?

Had a Dreadful game yesterday, but still a quality player. His Acting was pure class :)

Paul Hudson ring a bell with you? Hawthorn got rid of him because he was a liability in finals.

Soft as butter - like davis - he is a proven finals spud.

He is great in the open free flowing H&A games.

But when the hard pressure comes on - he goes to water.

Pretty harsh, but he is very known to go quiet in finals. Something needs to be adressed in his head.

Definitely a mental fragility there. That grubber kick he did running into an open goal should be bread and butter to a player like him.

If it was late in he game when a player is physically drained, it would be understandable but it was easonably early in the game, so it's in his head.

Although there is some whisper of karma.

Hmmm no, your way off, as is this thread. Go and look up Milne's stats for the year, one of the best performing small forwards but yesterday he just crapped himself - simple. Give credit to the pressure of Geelong would you? You dont delist good players - so by that argument lets say you could delist any one of your better players who didnt perform in the prelim against the saints????

Grant Thomas has been saying for years he does not step up when it matters, he may be spot on!

He made some horrible decisions yesterday when it really counted, and a couple of times could have done the team thing but decided to try and do it himself...

Who knows? They may look at moving him on...

Not fond of Milne, but he's been a very good player for St Kilda throughout the H&A season. The club should focus on getting his mindset right for finals rather than discard him.
