Of all the missing players, SteveJohnson is most crucial to Geelong's finals chances. Not only does he create more goals, but having another elite player in the forward 50 takes some of the pressure off GAJ, who gets hammered by two or three everytime he goes near the ball, knowing that he is the danger with Mackie, Gardiner, Kingsley and others not so dangerous with the ball on the ground. And Johnson's presence would allow Gardiner to slip back to the seconds.

Though I also think Ottens and Enright may help a little too.

Henry Playfair is the most important player on the sidelines.

He gives us structure and without him our forward line is impotent.

Yeah at full strength I think our forward line is good. Good enough to trouble the best backlines.

Talls - Ottens, Playfair, Kingsley
Smalls - Ablett, S.Johnson, Chapman

Its just a shame we have no depth here.

all teams are useless they have a CHF to at least present and make contest.

Without Playfair any decent defence will rebound no hassles which is what Leppitsch did all day yesterday.

Steve Johnson is a class player. He will add so much to the forward line once he returns in the 4 weeks they expect him to.

Our forward line is actually very capable, contrary to what many non-Geelong people think.

Tend to agree.

Bradley Ottens would be running a close second. Not only does he give us that other tall option up forward, but is clearly our best ruckman.

Sarge is a battler, but he needs a class ruckman alongside him to help him out during the course of the game.

Brings me to a point, our midfield learned to read off the opposing ruckman for much of last season. I can't quite fathom why we've struggled to do likewise this season.

When Ottens is in the ruck he is vital to our structure, when he is in the forward line they kick to him way to often and are too predictable.
