as it seems at the moment that stevens doesnt want to play for carlton...well its a win win situation for us...on one had we can get cooney if nick stevens is picked up by the dogs (a possibility due to nathan borwn providing slary cap space) and the other possibility of getting that whinging and bitching stevens at pick #2...

or maybe ports gots an idea up their choked sleeves

stevens would nominate for the pre-seaon draft, not the national draft.
The Dogs have the first pick in the pre-season draft, Carlton has the second pick.

In the National Draft the Dogs will get Cooney with pick 1.
Carlton will have pick 2 for tennace/sylvia/bradley or whoever.
