Stevens rested as a way of drawing crowds?

Im probs just being silly but does anybody else think that resting Stevens is a way of Carlton drawing more crowds to the round 1 match against Richmond? If Stevo plays this week along side Judd then there will not be as much of a hype come Round 1 when they finally play in the midfield together. So, maybe Carlton have rested Stevo to keep the crowds spirit alive come round 1? lol
