Can anyone give a clear picture on where Nick Stevens is headed. The last I heard is Collingwood and Essendon lead the charge, any response from a good source would be nice

We don't need or want him, but he will end up at Collingwood as he has expressed his wish to play for the pies, meaning he won't ask for an out ragious salary like Brown will

No source but my hunch is the blue baggers. He, in no uncertain terms, has said that he wants to be at pieland but simply we can't afford him. Essendon surely cant afford to match the 500 a year that carlton are offering. He will make the blues a better side.

Good point, Carlton also expressed their wishes to the trading world that they want a ready made midfielder aged 21 to 25

Where has the mis conception that we can't afford a player come from. It has been stated many times from the club that with BUX going on the veterans list and with money already to spare that we will be tardeting a player. Stevens would fit the bill IMO. The question is what do we give up for him. First round pick and a player. Don't know which player. Any suggestions

We can afford him with the money bucks gives up next year almost and with the traded player u think we could make the rest up out of underperforming player salary drops.

They'd probably want younger guys or draft picks given their financial problems.

I think Nick Stevens would be a good asset. He would be a good pick up for us.
