Former Melbourne midfielder Steven Armstrong, at 21, seems certain to be put on the rookie list by any one of the clubs that selected players in the national draft who are unlikely to play senior football next year. They include Sydney, Hawthorn and Port Adelaide.


Wouldn't mind the selection.

Yeah, what i've seen of him he goes alright and would be a ready made half forward type.

I've always wondered about him and have been of the opinion he has been given a fair go at Demonland. Originally recruited from WA and developed a glamourboy image and is quite popular around the Melbourne club.

Adelaide were talking to him this time last year but they retracted. Maybe he never completely recovered from his 2002 Bali injuries.

I would like to see him at Hawthorn. No doubt our medics will be checking him out thoroughly if there is interest in him at Glenferrie.
