It didn't look good on Talking footy last night when Gary Ayers was asked whether Steinglein would stay because he didn't give an answer and talked about how it was an interesting one.GAve me the impression that he knew a lot more than he said about the situation.
I did notice that ANdrew McDougall was out of Contract and if he was to leave we would have to go after someone like him, Gary Said that too, mabe he knows wahts going on!
Did anyone catch it when they asked EAde if he had spoken to Ayers about Adelaide and he said no not unless he got the job and said shortly after that he'll call him soon ;)

Me thinks he gave it away there and then that he has the job.
I myself would be happy with either Craig or Eade, both will do well in my opinion.
Who is giong to the Adelaide/Geelong game next week.
I am I scored another seat in the Coopers Brewery Box and it will be my last live game for two years, jetting off to London.

Yeah I noticed that too. It was a really interesting one. From what he said it sounded like he thought he had the job but I don't want to jinx it.

What are the chances of this happening?

Stenglein to WCE
Wirrpunda to MELB
Scott Thompson to ADEL

Hi Jason,

just remember to bring a really good brolly (especially for summer!) - and an early welcome to merry ol england :) At least I will have another crow fan over here now.

Sad news if it is true about Stinger - but did Eade say that he was going to call Ayres soon or that he would hopefully call him soon?

Both Ayres and Eade were on Talking Footy last night. Tim Watson asked Eade if he has spoken to Gary at all about the Crows. Eade then replied that he hasnt but if he does get the job he will call Gary, he then added to Gary that he will speak to him soon.

Personally I wouldnt read much into it, I think he was just having a laugh.

Thanks Tatts,

I thought it might be that he was being funny. We shall have to wait and see

cheers,

I'm not really sure what is going to happen with Stinger. I want him to stay. We do need some stability. We are going to have a lot of changes next season. It will be interesting!

Slim to none.

Scott Thompson hates the Crows, was a Port supporter as a kid.

I think I have something more appealing though.

How about...
Stenglein + 2nd round to West Coast
Wirrpunda + 2nd round to Melbourne
Rivers to Adelaide

Rivers is out of contract so I think we should pursue him although the chances of landing him would be extremely rmote. Still, we need to have an aggressive attitude at trade period this year.

Don't want the little sh*t then. What a childish attitude. Cornes I and Cornes II hated Port as kids too, but I guess they're more professional than to allow that to get in the way now that they're all grown up.

I know. I remeber reading something after the Adel v Melb semi final in 2002 where he said something like "I wish i could have been out there to smash the Crows because I hated them as a kid and I just wanted to be out there so much so I could stick it up them" Obviously I can't remember exactly what he said but it sounded very poor from an AFL player.

I wonder how many players will want out of the club now Craig's coach. We'll get next to nothing in return because who would want to come to a club with a dictatorship as a board and a disgraced coach!

Waterhouse > Perrie
Perrie is more important to the Crows than Waterhouse. With M Stevo likely to retire, Sarge is a must keep IMO. Who else can play CHF? S Stevens, Bock, Watts - I don't think so.

The fact that Craig did not rule out Waterhouse has to be a very worrying sign of things to come for Adelaide...

If Watts hits the gym now and works damned hard he will be ready for the CHF position at the start of 2006.
I would trade Perrie for Waterhouse.
Perrie works very hard but I think Clive would straighten us up better.

Hentschel ;)

Sarge is far from a "must keep"
You buggar Stiffy - I deliberately didn't mention Hentschel. ;) Seriously though, I would keep Sarge has the workhorse CHF who leads up the ground & use Trent close to goal with Welshy. We would want to get a damn good deal for Sarge, given his trade value has reduced in the past year due to lack of opportunities.

LOL. Your a joke, jc.

It makes sense that you support Craig's appointment.

We desperately need to rebuild and you think it would be a great idea to trade a KPP in his mid-twenties who, whilst not a star, can take some physical heat off Hentschel and Watts, for an injury-prone thirty year old psycho who rivals Matthew Richardson in the ********ed-in-the-head category.

IMO, Sarge has some trade value, whereas Clive doesn't. If we really want him, get him through the pre-season draft.

I was trying to be more diplomatic, but I can't disagree with what your saying...

PS, Perhaps Clive is a good at riding a bike?

Crap we DON"T NEED A FULL BLOWN REBUILDING PHASE we need to get our youngsters with potetial into the game. Perrie is NEVER going to be a star and at best slows down the flow, that's exactly what we dont need whilst training new players. You obviously don't watch many Freo games if you dont think that Clive wouldent straighten us up.
A swap for perrie would come with a 3rd rounder I expect and thats a good deal.

Crap. If Clive is so good why does he struggle to crack a game for Freo who are crying out for a player to straighten them up as you described Clive?????

And also why is it that he will be delisted at the end of the year if he is what you are saying he is?????

Clive is well past it:rolleyes:
