Isn't the world just raining **** on Stiffy_18.

IMO, the Kings will sooner trade CWebb than Stojakovic. The idea there being, they don't really have anyone to step in at the SF position, let alone Peja having far more chemistry with the remainder of the team than his All-Star colleague.

I have always been Peja Supporter first and kings supporter 2nd. The only reason I stated following the kings was because of Divac.

Maloofs have shot themselves in a foot. Good on ya Peja for not taking **** from a sheila like CWebb who doesn't know the meaning of team if it hit him in the face.

Course we want Peja at the Foreign Union. :p
Personally I think of the 2 teams he would fit in with the Spurs the best. Imagine Duncan-Peja-Parker trio :D

Having said that I don't think Peja will be traded. He would be very attractive to may teams out there because he is a very good player that is cheap (salary wise) compared to some others. As Bresh said if Kings trade Peja they have no one to play SF. Since the Maloofs have decided to cut down on salaries, trading Peja for someone of equal quality would mean taking on the bigger salary.

Peja is an attractive player trade wise for the reasons mentioned but he is also a must keep for exactly the same reasons.

Artest and Christie would be unbelievable... imagine getting doubled by these two.
Imagine the practice sessions.

If Stoj goes to the Spurs, they'd be almost unbeatable next season. Pick your poison. Matty and JS must be having orgasms just thinking about it.

Don't rule out the Lakers either. One of the sports reports (Sportisimo) on S&M TV are suggesting that Divac is talking the Lakers into going for Peja. How this could possibly happen is beyond me unless LA trades Odom and I just can't see that happening. Especially considering Odom earns more and Kings want to cut down on salaries.

Some of the people in Belgrade reckon that Peja is sick and tired of CWebb's snide remarks and was nothappy when Kings let Divac go and yet offered Ostertag more money than they did to Vlade.

Apparently the straw that broke the camel's back was remarks by Webber in recent interview for sacbee regarding Vlade.

Peja is peed off.:o

This is turning into a silly season in S&M :p

La cant get Peja and they cant trade Odom IIRC. There is the trade rule which prevents players from being traded within 60? days of being traded. Why does he want to leave?

I'm a fan of Peja and would love for him to play for Indiana, He'll make our team much better... a straight swap for Artest? Yes Please:) but it'll never happen, they'll trade Webber before Peja.

Dont mess with Chicago.

Incidently Peja has an opt out clause the same year the Bulls will have 10 million + in capspace.

Sacramento Kings All-Star Peja Stojakovic told the Chicago Sun-Times on Friday he would love to play for the Bulls, and John Paxson has admitted calling the Kings to inquire about Stojakovic's availability.

The main impediment to that courtship heating up is Sacramento ownership has said it has no plans to trade Stojakovic, despite his request to be dealt.

And if the Maloof brothers change their minds, the Bulls don't have a lot to offer for the 6-9 forward, who was second in the league in scoring during the regular season at 24.2 points.

The latter hurdle becomes even greater for the Bulls because Indiana is said to be offering former Bull Ron Artest, who is the reigning defensive player of the year.

''I love Chicago, and I have a lot of friends there,'' Stojakovic said by phone from Belgrade, Yugoslavia, where he is shooting a Reebok commercial that also will feature Philadelphia 76ers star Allen Iverson. ''I also feel the Bulls are a great organization, and I especially like the fact that Scott Skiles is the coach there. He was my coach in Greece when I played for PAOK in 1998. We almost won the championship under him. He's a great man and a great coach.''

Paxson proved he's not afraid to aim high when he and chairman Jerry Reinsdorf visited Kobe Bryant before he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers.

''Yes, I called and expressed an interest, but I have not talked with [Kings operations chief] Geoff Petrie yet about it,'' Paxson said. ''So it was a one-sided phone call. Certainly, if a player of his caliber were available and he would be interested in Chicago, we'd obviously owe it to ourselves to take a hard look at it.''

The most sought-after commodities on the Bulls are center Eddy Curry and guard Kirk Hinrich. After losing Vlade Divac to the Lakers, which prompted Stojakovic's displeasure with Sacramento, the Kings need a center.

But Artest is a special talent.

''Peja tells me he would love to play in a big city like Chicago with a strong population of Yugoslavians and Greeks,'' said Nick Papaioannou, who writes for Eleftheros Typos, an Athens, Greece, newspaper.

''He is Serbian, and he speaks both languages.''

Artest's salary of $6.5 million this season is compatible with Stojakovic's $6.8 million. Stojakovic has an option to get out of his contract in 2007.

''I've asked for a trade because I think a change of teams would be good for the Kings and me right now,'' Stojakovic said. ''It's nothing against the team, the organization or the city. They all have been good to me. I just think I've done as much as I can do for the Kings, the window of opportunity is closing down, this team needs changes and I would be perhaps the easiest player to trade.''

Melo if that happened Peja would be you favourite player and by far your best player:p

For some reason I would like to see him at Suns. Won't happen but would make it interesting seeing Peja, Amare and Nash run the show

Would obviously love Peja at the Bulls but I cant see it happening as we dont have anything of trade value equal to Peja. We wouldnt trade Hinrich and I doubt we would trade Curry either.
