Health Stomach Bugs??

In Victoria right now... is there one going around??

Because I have it.

Just wanted to know if anyone had had one recently how long did it last. Cause my one and only other time I had gastro was two years ago and it lasted 10 ****ing days. I dont think i have the strength to go thru that again.

Someone please tell me it'll clear up in 24 hours. And any stories, tips as to what you should do- esp to avoid a trip to the hospital and getting IV Fluids )lke last time I had this )

Fuuny you should say that because for the last couple of days I have had stomach pains and cramps like you wouldn't believe. No vomiting or diahorrea but just pain and feeling bloated.

Nah seriously am sorry to hear that, hope it goes away on its own. I was though up all night in the smallest room in the house.. wont go into the gory details.

Im up to the stage i think there is nothing left in me which is the worst.

**** i want it to be over.. i am such a wuss when it comes to being sick. My heart rate goes right up too which is worrying...

I think I may have had it too in the past couple days. Just feeling crap, stomach cramp and regular visits to the toilet...

No where near as bad as you're describing though.

Me and my flatmate have both got some kind of bug. He's been vomiting the past few days, I've felt like it, but haven't managed to. Three days later we've still both got diarrhoea and bad headaches. We've slept most of the time. Haven't managed to eat. Feeling a lot better today though. Hoping to be over it by tomorrow.

There are always "stomach bugs" going around in the community. We see them on a daily basis.

Most are self limiting and will pass in 24 to 48hrs. These are caused by viruses such as Enterovirus, Rotavirus, and the nastiest and most virulent of the lot, Norovirus.

If symptoms persist or are more severe it may be bacterial, such as Campylobacter, Salmonella or Shigella. These require a visit to your local GP.

Thank you. Yeah got over it in about 5-6 days turned out. Not good.

And now the bf has it too, the whole sher-bang the vomiting, etc etc.
