strange laws

Just saw this post on another forum discussing strange laws in different countries.

"Germany has no law against cannibalism. Apparently, a man advertised on the internet for someone to eat and bizarrely got a reply. Without going into the gruesome details, the man who responded agreed to be eaten by him and subsequently was. The cannibal couldn't really be arrested for murder since it was consensual, and there was no 'anti-cannibalism' law on the German statute. He had to be charged for 'sexual mutilation' (or something like that)".

Like the film ALIVE! where the soccor team crashed in the Andes and had to eat flesh to survive. Apparantly it was a very very close call as within a few hours of being rescued they were going to have to resort to the airline food.

Afraid to say this is not actually true. He has been charged with murder, his defence lawyer is trying to get the charge to something like "killing on demand", which probably covers assisted suicide.

There is also a 2nd charge, there is no law about cannibalism, so they charged him with "interfering with the remains of the dead" or some-such.

i think somewhere in america u need a license to put out mouse traps.

thats funny considering u can carry a gun wherever u like most places.

In the city I live a law still stands that says it is compulsory to have a person walk in front of your vehicle ringing a bell whilst driving on the main street. This was apparently to alert owners of horses who may become sppoked by the car...

I have also heard that in a lot of places it is illegal to sneeze in public places.

A few years ago on the way back from Canada when we stopped in Singapore we were told by the airline, Graffitti, chewing bubble gum and practising oral sex were all illegal in Singapore...
That was the most boring 3 hours ever!? :p
A friend and I now wanna catch a Singapore Airlines flight and commit the above offences, see what happens... :p
