awesome band - been into them for yrs - Brads demise stopped what i considered a massive future for him and the band. So many great songs and one band u could never pigeonhole. doin' time is such a sexy song

If so they are great.

I got their best of album, the quality varies from excellent starting tracks (What I Got & Wrong Way) to some very raw stuff filling out the later tracks.

I reckon they would have broken out big time if Brad Nowell hadn't karked it. Apparently the band was always held back by their taste for recreational drugs.

Probably the best band ever for mine. You really need to get past Daterape and What I Got, those are the common ones that don't show off the best of sublime. Best album in my opinion is Robbin the Hood - Get it. They are so diverse and laid back, inspired heavily by Bob Marley. Brad Nowell has one of the best voices of all time. If you're not familiar with Sublime, id advise you to get in to them ASAP.

There is no such thing as a best band, its all about the individual. You can have the most lyrically intelligent or musically complex band, but the term 'best' should either be not used at all, or seen simply as a substitute for 'favourite'. Sublime are my favourite band for many reasons. Should I follow the crowd and say the Beatles are the best bands of all time? Why should they be?

Awesome band, been listening to them for a while. Very big amongst my mates who are into all terrain boarding, snowboarding etc. Nothin better than kicking back after a few tumbles during the day to a few beers and some Badfish.

Now that summer's here these guys start getting some real heavy rotation in my system.

Awesome band, and tom, I took your advice regarding Date Rape and What I Got and they're actually the two songs I listen to LEAST of theirs now.

Really? Fair enough, from what I've seen of your taste in music I don't have much in common with you taste wise, but sublime are freakin' awesome I reckon.
