Yeah first time I've seen him play and was definetly having a good crack, Harvey has rocks in his head.

His last game was this week. It's that simple.
Along with Broughton, late in the third, yes. Sibo played key position, he's not exactly noted for pushing through, both Suban and Broughton are runners.
Ok, maybe not the only player, but far and away the worst player out there. So much so that he was effectively an extra man for the Bulldogs. There is no point leaving a man who can run all day out there if he is also turning the ball over all day. I'd take a tired Sibosado over that in a heartbeat.

I was thrilled that Sibo got a run and from what I heard looked good. Very disappointed that he was subbed off but I was not there to see. I only hope that he gets another chance for the Dockers! Come on Freo use that LATE draft pick to keep him at the club. Please! Casey will be worth it!
The major point is thought that players shouldn't only be judged on their WAFL performances. We see it time and time again where players don't set the world on fire with their WAFL games but as soon as they get an AFL game they play twice as good. The step up from WAFL to AFL is huge and that means that players are surrounded by team mates with far betters skills, running patterns, fitness and structures.
My point is should Sibo have gotten a debut game earlier? You always need to give your prospects a taste of the bigtime so they know how hard they have to work. Even Pitt to a degree doubles his possession count from WAFL to AFL. Same goes for Viv Michie, he should of been given a debut game mid way through the season.
They shouldn't be judged on 3 quarters of their league debut either.
Sibo has played the odd good game at WAFL level too, filled in with vast stretches of carp. I'm sure he was told to just enjoy himself today as he's got nothing to lose. He was ok, that's all, don't get too excited. Mourish looked superb in his NAB cup game against the Hawks and look how he turned out.

Fair enough but my whole point wasn't just based on Sibo. If he is still no where near fit enough then it may not just be his fault. I don't think our team trains any where near as hard as they should. Casey still looked like a decent contested marker which is exactly what we need in the forward line. Coz as much as I like Bradley he is a shit mark and may be fazed out of the team.
And yet our injuries this year are being blamed on us training too hard???
I know the point you and E Shed are making, and I agree with you both; Sibo did look good yesterday, but my point is he's looked good on the very odd occasion over the last 5 years but his issue is that he can't do it anywhere near regularly. Not even close to it.
If he had've been even a bit consistant, and shown some signs of doing what was asked of him, then I'm sure he would've been given more opportunities at the top level.
We can't have it both ways, most of us want players to earn a call up and not cheapen it by just giving guys a go regardless of WAFL form because a few blokes on BF want their curiosity eased.
Remember, our coaches would've seen Sibo in action for about 30 hours a week over the last 3 years. We see them on the odd game day and at the odd training session. So it might seem bewildering to a few of you that he's not been given a go before now but you perhaps should get over yourselves and realise that we have a coaching dept AND a youth development academy that is a bit more qualified to make those calls.
Whilst you make good points and argue your side logically, it's the judgement of some at the club that is under question on a few threads at the moment. Michael Johnson plays one good game for the year in the last game of the year yet he is gifted a walk up start every week by the same people making these calls. I thought Sibosado showed more as a forward in 10 minutes yesterday than Mayne, Johnson or Bradley in terms of his contested marking.
AND he looked like he was up for the contest.
At one point in the year Harvey admitted Johnson would have been under pressure to hold his spot if it wasn't for injuries so why not give Sibo a game then and see if he was up for it? At the very least it might have put a rocket up MJ.

I find your insistence that our football club knows its arse from its elbow insulting.
