After the whole caffeine debate over the past few weeks, the NRL has confirmed that many of its stars take Sudafed before games. The ingredient pseudoephedrine is a stimulant. Players have been known to take 10-15 before a game.

I wonder how wide spread this and other stimulants are in the AFL. Questions should be asked about its use. I think they're getting carried away and sending a poor message to the kids!
 
Pseudoephedrine is the active ingredient in Speed if Im not mistaking. I cant imagine it being very good at all long term as it would clog arteries and make recouperation times difficult to manage. Not to mention sleeping disorders and other assorted side effects.

I'd be presuming pseudoephedrine is on the banned substance list :confused:
