Anyone heard of him? He plays Jets and is regularly in the best. About 200cm tall, could he be a draft option in the national or rookie draft? By the sounds of it hes a great kick for goal so could be handy up forward aswell.

Not sure why you would say he is a 'great kick for goal' Borgy. He has not really shown an ability do this at TAC level, though his field kicking is very good. He is certainly very athletic for his size, and has terrific aerobic capacity - regularly finishing 3km time trials in the first couple.

He attacks the ball pretty well in the air, and is developing his marking ability. He is an exciting prospect, but not a round 1 2008 player - let alone saviour.

Nah i wasnt expecting him to come in straight away. Just what do you think the chances of him being drafted is? He could be a good developmental player to have on the list.

Any chance we could rookie list him? Even draft him late?

Recently on the Drafts + Trading Board it was suggested when ranking the ruck prospects that Sullivan as a guide would get picked up somewhere b/w 25 and 50. This would mean we would have to pick him up with atleast our 2nd rd pick to be assured.

mjp, would this pick, possibly 22-26 be better used somewhere else? I know we desperately need a ruckman, but realistically we need one now not in 2 or 3 years when Sullivan will be ready.

Bongetti is (I think) a very good prospect. Knocks on him are that he is undersized for a KPP and not overly quick...could be a player without a position at AFL level, but he is certainly a very good player at TAC level and one who I think should be looked at...I wouldn't think he 'projects' well though so doubt Clayton would consider him.

I doubt Sullivan would last until the rookie draft. But apart from that, I really have no idea 'when' he will get taken. I am not much of a draftnik I am sorry.

What size is he? Who would you compare him to in the AFL at present?

Must be 190cm'ish, 90kg'ish - you would need to check these on the Northern site. Hard leading forward. He presents well, starting point is usually around about the 30m mark, though he takes himself back to the goalsquare when he needs a break.

His leading is his primary strength. Comparisons? No idea really - pick any forward whose primary strength is presenting at the kicker.

:confused::confused:

Last year in the TAC Cup he kicked 2 goals 3 behinds in 18 games and this year he`s kicked 1 goal 2 behinds in 9 games!?

Did he kick a bag for Vic Metro on the Weekend or something?

I have already questioned this, but in fairness to Borgy, he kicked a right foot banana from deep in the forward pocket in the game vs WA.

Certainty to get drafted by us then :D. We are great at having undersized KPP's. I wont list the last 15 years think you know who I am referring to.

From the sounds of him he plays at FF. Who are the best 2 FF's in the AFL at present? I would say Fevola and Lloyd would be way up there. How tall are they you ask? Well I checked and Fevola is listed at 191cm and Lloyd at 192cm. Bongetti is supposedly 190cm'ish, is that undersized? Draw your own conclusions.

If the kid can play why not, Brad Johnson is 183cm, but is still a good FF because he can lead, take a grab and kick straight. Thats all I want from a forward.

If he can play go for it. Was just having a laugh that concerns were 'undersized for KPP' for which we are famous for. Wasnt having a go at anyone. So does undersized prefer to height / weight or both?

Thats just what ive heard.
He kicked a goal- what a machine. I watched him get smashed around the ground last year versus Calder and Northern. His ruck work is quite good but gets lost around the ground and I've seen him shirk the issue on a number of occasions

Like most boys his size won't be at his best for at least 5 years. Is a 50/50 chance of being drafted this year, however, if not drafted would certainly get rookie listed.

Whoever told you he was a great kick for goal or a goal score ruckman is kidding you.

He is a very good tap ruckman with reasonable mobility for a kid 202cm. Doesn't get to enough contests or pick up "easy" kicks which shows he is lacking at the moment in his ability to read the play. He is improving all the time though and it will be interesting to see how he goes in the next 2 NAB games.
