Not sure where to put this but I figured that here was a good place. Not that it will really matter to many on this board but I will be taking a break from BigFooty for a few months - I spend a bit too much time on this site and need to concentrate on writing papers. My first year back in Australia after 10 years overseas, it was painful to see our side and spirit unravel week by week. It was like 1998 all over again. We played better in the last few weeks but really it could only better than the trash served up in the preceding weeks. One of the highlights for me was going to the seconds, watching the game and kicking the football with the kids (also beating the pies was great!).
To the club's board - you were a joke. The jumper fiasco was just pathetic, as was their arrogant responses. Player management on the whole was very poor. However, I am hoping that many of deficiency highlighted this year will be seen as lessons and moves made to learn and improve. Saying all of this, 2011 is a new year and I will come back next year believing that we will be pushing for a spot in the top 8.
