cant believe we only made one change

meyer should have been given a game, we need to see him play

Should note that only 1 omission from last week's side is a disgrace. Morton is a lucky boy.

sadly its the same old story for RFC ... its one of the main reasons why i constantly call for Wallace's head .... the players put in possibly the worst performance in his reign (yes, i reckon it surpasses the Geel 157 loss because our season was on the line last week) and we only make ONE change. Truly, its almost goes beyond belief.

Same story of persistence with underperformers and lack of balls to make a big call or two by TW.

Said it a million times, but one of TW's biggest short comings is that he is a REACTIVE coach. And a very slow to react one at that. We need a PROACTIVE coach. All the good ones have this quality.

I guess its a step up from one of Hyde/Tiv replacing King ... but not by much.

He also seems to persist with some players where their form demanded they get dropped to the 2's. McMahon, Edwards and Tambling get a dream run with the side.

go go Cartledge and good to hear Connors gets a chance. I heard a few weeks back that Tony Free was mentoring him which is part scary and part reassuring for him to have a friend on the board. Cartledge is much more a natural ruckman than Pattison so hopefully gives us a better balanced ruck duo. Like Pattison though, he'll get there. As for Graham apart from the fact that playing him as well as Cartledge would be one tall too many, Coburg need a ruckman too you know, they've got a finals spot on the line this weekend. Go tigers...go burger tigers!!!

absolutely agree. Certain players are a protected species.

And dont forgot cRaptain Kane. He has been awful the past month (by anyone's standards, let alone mine in which he has been awful all of 2007 and 2008). Yet he is never dropped.

IMO would have been quite reasonable to make a real statement and drop one of McMahon/Edwards for Meyer and Johnson for Polo this week.

we actually made 3 changes

out: king, patto, brown

in: cartledge, conners, schulz

2 were forced by injury. We only made ONE ommission the week after we play our worst game of the year and arguably worst game under TW. Shame RFC, Shame.

Absolutely it would have. Johnson has to retire soon surely? Please.....

Yep, gotta agree there. Throw in Captain Johnson too. In a perfect world no-one should be untouchable. keep the buggers honest. Guys like McGuane, Jackson, Moore, Newman, Tuck, Thursfield and a few others at least play with the kind of effort and energy week in week out that suggests they are out to earn their game not have it handed to them.

according to the rawling's report on last week's coburg game, meyer injured his ankle early in the match but fought on....
i think perhaps he impressed the match committee with his play but isn't physicaly right to play seniors due to the injury, hence we reward him by naming him as an emergency.

i certainly do hope polo comes in for jackson...he just doesn't impress me at all

Meyer was never gonna get a game. He was injured last week and may not even be fit. Morton has to play if Brown isn't because we lack goal scoring power otherwise. Terry loves Jackson for some reason and he was one of our better players last week...

No suprises really imo...maybe Shane Edwards was lucky to get a gig but its about getting games into him. I'd imagine Polo is the bloke who won't play tommorrow in case we pick up an injury. I reaaly want him back in the side, for McMohan or Jackson prefferably.

What does everyone think of Jake King? Gawnski at the end of the year? I reckon we could get a late 2nd rounder for him
