Hi, guys.
Has anyone done both the Supercoach & AFL's Dream team?
Tried to mould the Dream Team from my Supercach team.
Someone is economically unsound.
eg: supercoach $10 million salary cap - $ ~79,000 spare
dreamteam $7.3 million - $~13,000 spare with 1 player short.
so, fans, let's play "the price is right" & let's discuss who has the right value for their buck.:)

Don't know if you are being serious, but each competition has different scoring systems, matching up to different prices and different salary caps.

Simple really.

sorry, kid duties then some bets...
I am serious because i find some prices startling.
The example of Chris Judd is amazing.
supercoach $565,000
virtual sports $369,000
andrew mackie is about $340,000 on V.S....is mackie the same mould as Judd?:)

Mackie 2007 Dream Team average: 83.3
Judd 2007 Dream Team average: 85.0

That's right, so Supercoach HAD to be the innacurate rating in our opinion, yes??:)
Mackie from memory below the $250,000 mark. I've always said & will maintain that champion data is way inferior.:)

How does that make SuperCoach inaccurate?

Champion Data is far superior.

Its not inaccurate. Mackie is 407k in SC, and 340k in DT. Judd is 550 or wateva in SC, then 350k in DT. That doesnt mean that the SC system is inaccurate, it just means that Judd is more efficient, has more of an impact and plays better than Mackie did, not that the system is flawed.

SC is better

So, if SC is far superior, is a $550,000+ price tag justified for a player that didn't make last years top 50 DT averages?:)

How can you compare SuperCoach prices with Dream Team averages?

When it comes to stats, I'm sure we like the "keep it simple" method.
"Simple" means that Jimmy Bartel was the No 1 player in 2008. Off the top of my head, can't tell you what Bartel is on SC, but on DT he's $496,800. Judd is coming back from groin surgery. From what I've seen, he doesn't have a left foot. You could be paying $550,000 on SC for some sort of commodore lemon. Is that a fair price?:)

You sir, are a moron.

It's based on last years averages and they are different scoring systems.
What is there not to understand!?

You are either a great troll or a not-so-great fantasy player.

Bartel
2007 average: 125.85
2008 price: $675,200

Judd
2007 average: 106.39
2008 price: $570,800

Seems pretty fair to me?

I'm aware the systems are different, I just can't see Judd's value in SC. To me, 2007 wasn't a great year despite the umpires giving him, what, 9 straight games with votes.
In my opinion, alot of other players had better years.:)
I would say Priddis had a better year. How much is his worth this year, fellas?:)

Stop being stupid.

Close thread mods.

Good morning, guys.
Things sounded like they were getting hotter than our weather here, so I left it until today.
Let's take the Judd/Mackie example & your replies with the Judd/Priddis example.
Priddis was a better player on average, 3rd in fact, taking home 3rd place in the B&F.
His price is $483,300.:)
And let's be civil, huh.:)

This isn't the Eagles best and fairest count it's fantasy football. Matthew Scarlett might win Geelongs best and fairest this year but i gaurantee you he's not the highest scoring Cat.

Priddis = $388,900 DT/$483,300 SC
Judd = $369,200 DT/ $570,800 SC

These prices are taken on last years stats which im unsure of in DT but the prices reflect Priddis on average last year was marginally better than Judd (that price would suggest around 6-7 points difference). The points are awarded basically on the quantity of possessions with no score loss for a clanger.

In Supercoach Chris Judd 106.39 ppg compared to priddis 90.9 ppg. Priddis scored less here because he wasn't as effective as Judd with disposals or getter cheaper possessions when Judd was getting the hardball.

As for the best and fairest result i'm sure had judd played 22 games like Priddis instead of 18 and not been injured in another half dozen or more games the result would have been different.
