Yeah Sooty and Sweep were great! Used to be on Sunday mornings and Kimba was on after them.

The ABC was great value in those days :D

One thing that show taught me was to never put a knife into a toaster!!!!! Oh and to appreciate the delicious cuisine of soldier eggs!!!!! Loved those guys, but I have to admit they were a little scary. I also liked Mr Squiggle, but the tractor dude scared me as well...

Gotta love the ABC back then...

I used to love Transformers, Battle of The Planets (G Force), Superfriends, Masters of The Universe and Voltron.

The original episodes of Battle Of The Planets have recently been re released on DVD and I think Transformers is'nt too far behind. Another one to look out for on DVD soon is Star Blazers. It used to be on the ABC in the early 80's - a manga cosmic soap opera which was really cool from what i can recall.

That was a really fantastic show. I still have the boardgame...

but I'm not sure if I should admit that!!!! :D

Can anyone remember these two classics.....

Ulusyess - i think that what it was called, all i can really remember is the song but i just know i loved that cartoon.

The Centurions - these guys rocked!! Ace the flying dude, Jake the land guy and Max the sea guy. With the ship up in space which would been down there suits....POWER EXTREME!!! I loved this cartoon. Max was my favourite and i even had his action figure with one of his suits that would be beamed down.

They were cool as!

Also watched inspector gadget and mr squiggle, and who can forget Punky Brewster :p

I remember watching:

Cartoons: Transformers, Masters of the Universe, G-Force, Astroboy, Inspector Gadget, Bravestarr, Centurions, M.A.S.K, TMNT, Fantastic Four, Thunderbirds, G.I. Joe, Kimba the White Lion, Justice League of America, Fat Albert....countless more!

Short Cartoons: Mighty Mouse, Roger Ramjet, Banana Man.

Transformers absolutely rocked....by far the cartoon and toy of the 80s/early90s. I still have many of the figures....in fact I collected everything - the comics (US and UK), the toys, the merchandise....

Prime dying in the Transformers movie was one of the most touching moments of my youth. And what an awesome battle over Autobot City in the opening sequence...I really love the part where Prime arrives and, to the tune of Stan Bush's "The Touch", procedes to cream every 'Con in sight :D

I really liked M.A.S.K. as well (mur-mur-mur M.A.S.K!, it's the mighty power that can save the day)....cool toys, esp. Miles Mayhem's helicopter/plane. He-man was awesome.....a close second to Transformers for toy of the decade.

Power Ranges is nothing compared to all these shows we're talking about!!!!

She-Ra - princess of power - go Swiftwind go...:D
