I was just thinking....is there anyone out there a little supersticious????
Has anyone been doing anything out of the norm this week????

I know players have their superstitions before and leading up to a game and was wondering if any BF posters do too!
:)

*edit dont tell if u think it may jiinx it

I'm not, but my friend asked me to drive this week and I said, "No you've driven to all the games we've been to this year and we've won them all... no messing with the system."

Well my mum is actually a jinx.

She's been to 8 Crows home games in her life and she's never seen a victory.

Yes, she is attending tomorrow's match.

It took me like 6 games before I saw a victory....and like four were agst Port!! as well a carlton and richmond (at home!!!!!!) I reckon my first win was vs melbourne a few yrs ago when we thrashed them! (yes i dont go to many games)

:)

The friend I took to the Freo match had been to 10 or so games without seeing a win. We went over for the Richmond game this year because we thought it would be sure to break the curse. So yeah, sorry about that loss everyone, but she came good for the Freo game (although I was telling her to leave half way through the first quarter).

Im just looking at all the opposities to this time last year for myself:

This time last year I had already secured my GF ticket, this year I havent.

PF being played at AAMI.

AFC have had the week off not West Coast.

AFC finished 2nd in 06 Eagles were minors Premiers.

The Eagles have to travel to AAMI this week if they win they will then have to travel back to Perth and then to Melbourne for the GF, sounds all too much to me and the footy gods wouldnt want that to happen:D

Every crows game my mate and I had been to this year together (I've been to all of them...) we have had KFC before each game, as we do for when we go to Port games. Its somewhat of a tradition for us....the Fremantle game during the Home and Away season we had Subway....

Hmmm...the opposite with my mother (who isn't really interested in football btw), her first Crows game was the WC final in 97.

She never went back to AAMI until the round 22 match this year, and since we won, I've forced her to go to our two finals games because I don't want to break the streak we have going.

She'll be the one in bay 120 reading women's magazines all afternoon.

I was going to start this thread earlier in the week but was worried it might jinx the game by "outting" mine and other people's rituals and silly superstitions...

Having said that, without delving into the details of the routine things i try and keep the same for the game... I will say that out of all the Crows prelim final games in their history i have only attended two of them... 1997 & 1998 !! The only two WINNING ones... Let's hope that's an omen for tomorrow!!!

I was at the 98 prelim so like you I have only ever seen prelim victories.

Well we have been doing the same thing for every game we've watched on the big screen at the Norman Hotel this year... and every time we've done it we've won! There are two of us in particular that go and we both park in the same spot, and sit in the same seats. My hubby has been told he cant come - because he hasnt come to games before (he prefers to watch them at home in the peace and quiet anyways). In our first final against Freo - we couldn't get the car parks we wanted (but had the seats). At half time BOTH our spots were available so we both got up and moved the cars :o - we went on to win! BUT our big problem is this... what happens if we win tomorrow? Because we are both going to Melbourne for the game (trying to score tickets some how - got the flights booked)!

Well, its not so much a superstition but every game I have taken my GF to this year, we have won. I planned on taking her tommorrow as well but since I am in a bit of a doghouse ATM (didn't feel like going to the opera last night with her  ) she has cracked the ****s and won't be coming tommorrow.

To make it a bit worse, the family friend we are taking along appears to be a bit of a jinx. Every time we have taken him to a game we have lost

Male pride is in the way :D :p

I mean seriously, how the hell do you expect me to go to a bloody opera?! I would go schizo

Ever heard of a) an MP3 player that you place surruptitiously in your ears or b) sleeping through the performance?:p

Ditto, Stiffmeister.

Operas are an item sent from hell to punish the average male for his wrong-doings. :D
