Swamprats miss out on finals

The Swamprats missed out on a finals birth finishing the SFA season with 8 wins, 9 losses and a draw.

Our fine form from the first half of the season fell away following the lengthy break for state of origin.

The long break also seemed to put a dent in our posting activity.

I'd like thank our two vice captains Janus and Mannum Power for their assistance and contributions and all those Swampies who contributed throughout the season.

One poster I would like to single out for particular thanks is Fatty Lumpkin who came on board without a natural affiliation to the Swamprats but showed himself to be a warrior in the true Swampies tradition posting in every match thread and always finding ways to take the fight up to our opponents.

was a good effort by all, although our second half was a bit more dismal. There are somer serious question marks over the sim as it always seemed to take our players that were having an influence. A big thankyou to Toots for posting the teams and organising so much and also to Dreamkillers wherever he may be, without him the swampies would not have returned. Wherever you are DK thankyou and I wish you all the best and hope you come back to BF and the swampies in the new year.

Yeah, who'd have thunk that a dyed in the wool Woodville supporter with a hatred for any SANFL footy club north of the QEH would end up at Alberton?? (Have I regaled you with my recollections of the Buff Tyrell match enough times yet???!!!)

Nice bunch of lads in the Swampies team - look forward to more drinking, kinking, but most importantly - sledging the opposition next year.
