IMO Swan is in the top two best performed with hodge but if you talking about best footballer than, Goddard, Judd, Ablett, Bartel, Hayes and Cooney are all above him

This game is why Swan is better. Doesn't happen to Swan..

They're actually similar players. They're both really strong contested players and their versatility allows them to play different roles. They both have strong offensive and defensive games. Hodge is a better kick but can be shut out of games. Hodge is also a better defender. Swan has better endurance, is a better clearance player, has better hands, provides more run and carry and is better overhead. He is also completely un-taggable. They are both hard as nails and should be the top 2 in the Brownlow this year.

Depends who you are I guess.

Geelong or St Kilda, you'd have a workhorse midfielder like Swan who does the unfashionable things.

If you were a young, developing side, you'd want the inspirational Hodge.

At Collingwood, I'd very reluctantly choose Hodge, purely because of the fact that he is an out n out match winner above most other midfielders in the AFL, and is very inspirational, but hes just not as consistent or covers as much space as Swan, so its not an easy decision.

Not only has Hodge just had the 9 touches and given the 4 free kicks away, but his man has also kicked 4 goals.

Terrible game - Swan hasn't put in a performance like that for at least 3 years.

Agree with a lot of it, but Hodge is a better mark. Far more contested marks than Swan this season, though Swan has more marks overall. Swan is excellent overhead in his own right though. Hodge is also a superior inside player, but Swan's superiority outside makes up for this.

One area Swan needs to prove himself is in big games. Hodge was shut out of the game today, but in Finals Hodge is a proven performer. Swan has not reached that level yet, hopefully the upcoming campaign he can sustain, if not even improve on his outstanding regular season. If he does that, we win a flag or close to it, and Swan has a good run in the Brownlow, I don't think Swan will be too underrated anymore, if people even still do underrate him.

oh well then if he beat carrazzo

don't care, he's rarely tagged
Yep, because opposition coaches don't think the Brownlow favourite is worth tagging, despite being the best player in the best team in the league that is smashing sides left right and centre. You are a clown who shouldn't be allowed out of your circus tent.

When lined up on Ablett tonight it looked a bit weird cos I felt like the tatts should belong on the baldy.
