You talking about the Chevron hotel in Kings X. Great venue in the hayday of pub rock. Saw Icehouse.Jimmy
Barnes,The Church, etc.
Probably b4 that it was a disco of the highest order. We all looked like douchebags, in the middle of a sexual revolution, wearing clothes that guaranteed we wouldn't get laid.

The guy next to her needs to go to a solarium, how pale is he, although the dark haired girl beside him might be a vampire and sucked all the blood out of the poor boy

Yeah, that's what winter does to me...

EDIT: Actually, that's just the colouring of the video title picture thing. If you watch the actual video it's not that bad. :(

For some reason just wondered about the Swanettes. Used to be a fixture of home games in the high flying 80s.They used to dance on a podium,in front of a car you could
win. Just wondered if anyone knows what happened to those lovely ladies? Are they still
fans and are they still dancing away with their kids etc!
Truth be known, the Swanettes have diversified into many different professions (yes they had brains, not just skimpy costumes): many are still dancing with successful studios...average age now is 40 (not that old) and at the last reunion were still healthy, happy and gorgeous. A sure way to pay university fees. Many people now are quick to criticise, but they (Swanettes, Edelstein, Capper) were part of an era that revitalised the AFL in Sydney. Speaking from experience, it was no fun to be dancing in skimpy costumes, in freezing cold weather, especially at the Friday night games throughout winter (Factor in the lurid comments and abuse that was hurled quite freely to boot and it wasn't the favourite job on the roster, but it paid the bills). The wait afterwards to get out of the car park was also a killer. But many laughs, fond memories and firm friendships were forged through those times. Funnily enough, many of the girls had an active interest in the game and are still staunch Swans supporters now. Hope this helps with the curiosity.

Thank You for your reply. You guys are the forgotten heroes of the struggle to win over the the Sydney public to
AFL Football! When i lived in Sydney i went to every home game in that era, and as a full blooded male i always
wondered what it would take to win over a Swanettes heart!
