The number 16 has been synonymous with success at the SWANS since King Charles Ricketts carried the Captain Coach crown.
Here, listed below, is a dossier on the diety of digit 16.
1. In 1909, Captain Coach King Charles crusaders crushed the morally corrupt carlton in the Grand Final. That game, being club Bloods 16th win of season 1908.
2. Warrick Big Ship Armstrong played 16 games as a Swan in between slaying the pathetic poms at their own game.
3. The Goliath of our great game, The mighty SWANS, have won 4 day and 4 night premierships. 4x4 = 16! FFS.
4. In 2010, 16 Swans polled Brownlow votes.
5. In 1916 the Bloods were undefeated!
6. 1993 the club was in the crap on and off the field, then one Resolute Ronald Dale Barassi stepped forward to the rescue. He was in charge for 16 rounds that season.
7. A bloke going by the name - Bob Superstar Skilton, played 16 seasons as a SWAN!!
8. 1933 and the Sensational Swans were singing in September again.
(1933) 1+9+3+3= 16. Hello nurse.
9. Paul The Retired Roos, has spent 16 seasons as a SWAN.
10. In the 1918 Grand Final the Bloods trailed the Maggot pies by 16 points at half time. When the fulltime siren sounded, Jim The Conqueror Caldwell and his crew had made the magpies into marionettes! Our second premiership sealed.
11. 16 years ago in round 16 the Swans kicked 16 goals to the dogs 12, onwards to victory again.
12. Round 16 in 1981 was the Swans last win at the Lordly Lake Oval. The slain, was none other than st. scum, as some might say.
13. Roy Cazaly was up there as a player, 1922 he was out there as a coach. Only to return in again in 1937, 16 seasons later.
14. The 1918 Grand Final culminated in club BLOODS second premiership party. That was the 16 game of the season for the supreme Swans.
15. Tony Plugger lockett kick 16 goals straight for the Swans against Fitzroy in round 19 1995, a club record. That game being his 16 VFL/AFL appearence as a Blood. A new Supernova Swan on the scene!
16. Michael O'Loughlin has 16 letters in his name. The magic man, is club BLOODS games record holder FFS!
The number 16. It would remiss, to dis, this numbers list!
