Jolly - I really don't care with him anymore. If he wants to piss off back to melbourne, trade him.
Mathews - get rid of him any means possible
McVeigh - delist, drop off a cliff, whatever is your fancy, he needs to go
Crouch - past it
Bevan - has to go
L.Barry - Either get rid of him, or put him through some serious re-education. Several of his screw ups were pretty ****ing major and embarassing, and cost the team badly in times they didnt need it.
B.Hall - fix him and send him to a psychiatrist, get him in the ring beating the shit out of something, whatever he needs to get angry circa 04/05
Swans AFL Website - stop with this players coming out each week to talk shit. full stop its gotta end tonight. I dont care what they say, they played extremely poorly, and deserved to get belted.
Davis - Great player, very useful, just wrong era. Will replace MOL when he retires, possibly this year.
LRT - trade bait, we actually need a real defender not this make believe dude.
Everyone else apart from Goodes & Kirk - beat them senseless with a flippin stick.

we all know who the good players are and those that are average and ordinary. its no use singling them out, i gave up ages ago.
perhaps our expectations of the squad were unrealistic to begin with, especially given that our depth is quite thin

disagree on LRT, he did some good things last night and i don't think made any clangers, certainly not of the standard of bungles made by bevan, barry, crouch, mcveigh, j bolton, barry, crouch, bevan, barry, bevan.... sighhhhh....

Im not about to name names but we need to make a few changes just to be able to bring on some of the younger guys and give them game time or we'll lose them, e.g moore. But i expect this great club to make the right decisions, for everyone that bags the coaching staff about changes and who should be let go, why dont you go and apply to to the club for a recruiting job or coahing job and see what reply you get. We should have faith in the people that are in charge.

Agree totally with this post. Although you forgot to mention the mistakes from Bevan.

BTW: What does swining mean?

Dont make such rash judgements on the eam after last night. The umpiring was dismal and pretty much shut out midfielders out from being able to do anything. Has anyone got the stats on how many HTB decisions went our way. Bet it wasnt many but there were so many that should have been. What are our boys playing for if frees arent being paid equally both ways. I just feel like you are being way to hard on them right now.

I pretty much agree.

Still think Crouch has something to give and I like McVeigh.

Jolly needs to go. Weak link all year. He has no passion and he isnt any good anyway. Not a good combo.

Bevan can't play in defense, his disposal is far too poor, could maybe be a defensive forward but thats about it.

Leo Barry is done I hate to say. Hasn't got the speed or size to matchup with basically anyone anymore.

Hall I want to see healthy, but he was awful this year.

Kirk was our best player this season, Goodes was also excellent, though a better effort in the first half would probably have gotten us the 2nd chance. Kirk to me is the kind of player who could play to 35 or even 40. He isn't fast and never has been, but he is super fit and tough as nails. Also an exceptional leader.

agree pretty much on every point apart from bevan, who's atrocious decision-making would render him a liability anywhere on the field, and mcveigh, who had a good patch ofr 4-5 games a month ago but simply cannot cut it with any consistency against the best team....not hard enough, not skilled enough......

Bevan would be a matchup guy. When you play the teams like Adelaide(McLeod) he would have a matchup. Otherwise he wouldn't play. McVeigh needs to go back to tagging. He has gotten ahead of himself and thinks he is a creative midfielder. As a stopper his fitness shone out, now it doesnt because he doesn't run to the right places so you dont see his hard running. He is like Kirk and Kane Cornes, they both had seasons a couple of years ago where they got away from the tagging thing and their play fell, James McDonald did it this year at Melbourne also, some guys dont know where to run but have the ability to win it when they are lead to the ball.

firstly, mcleod would run rings around bevan, and such tactics are why we can't beat adelaide
but, generally, how many defensive/tagging mids do we need? where are our runners? our ballplayers? where's the flair and creativity? i know we get it more off our halfback line, and malch will probly be moved on to the ball...well, he darn well should be, he's a champ....but where are our kids like thomas and pendelbury at the pies, or adcock at brisbane, or shaun burgoyne....and when are we gonna get some mids who can consistently kick goals on the run, or snap goals...NOT behinds....we miss such shots too often

We have alot of "match up" or "taggers" amongst our team (i.e Kirk, Crouch, Mathews, Ablett, Bevan, McVeigh, Fosdike) we have to get away from this defensive mentality and bring in some midfielders who actually go out and get the ball and do something with it. We cant base the way we play on stopping the opposition.

fosdike, of those named, is far more of a running, creating mid than a tagger.....well, i would think he could and should be played that way, he's got a real touch of class....although as has been mentioned fosdike has been put up as a possible trade back to an SA team a coupla times in the past few years, and, like jolly, would command a very good deal in return as a permiership player who's fit and at the peak of his career

i certainly agree on the last statement, we cannot keep going basing our gameplan on simply stopping them opposition

Fosdike has been used in defensive roles in the past but at the moment he usually starts games on the bench and is used more as an impact player. In an ideal world a player in the mould of a Dal Santo would be ideal. As much as I love every player on the list we need to look forward and perhaps even trade a premiership player or two. If it means long term success it has to be done.

In my opinion,

Matthews, Doyle (Just too injury prone)and Bevan (Simply lacking in disposal) should all be gone.

Although not a LRT fan, we are already feeble in defence, with the likes of Barry, Bolton killing themselves every week and playing out of position. Cannot possibly punt a tall defender at this stage.

Crouch should be looked at very closely as should McVeigh.

Jolly doesn't want to be here get rid of him. Insipid season, was capable of much better.

Other teams take the punt and give the kids a go, we should too.

We either have to make it happen or we will be asking what the .... happened when we are sitting amongst the tailenders.

Every team knows our game plan now, so it might be time to alter that as well.

Our previous assistant coaches are all over the place, so there aren't too many surprises at the moment.

We need outside pace into our list as well,

Just a few of my own observations.

Leo Barry has been struggling for a long time.

Bevan has always been poor. Dempster needs to step up for you guys, how many shots can this guy get?

Crouch looks past it too. I like McVeigh and he could become very good with some work.
