Their style of play has been made illegal and they dont know how to play real football... forced to kick long and losing every time... try to play for the ball up and caught holding the ball.. try to hold up the marking player and give away 50.

Their entire game plan is ruined. Wont see the finals this year

We are just slow. Skills are low. NEw rules have killed us as we can't play the stoppage game that won us a flag. Can't even adapt to the new kick in rule as we can't even find targets.

As much as it's only round 2 at this stage unless alterations are made to the game plan we will be lucky to squeeze in the 8 judging by the past 2 weeks.

It's been more than six months. It's time to stop bleeding and get on with your life.

brings me back to last year.. people already saying the reigning premiers are hungover. Games not over yet by the way.

There seems to be a fair few bitter and twisted saints and weagle supporters that need to move on here.

As for the result, Port played a terrific game, rotated their midfielders and flankers to a tea and had a well deserved victory.Seemed to know exactly where to position themselves on the SCG.

The swans on the other hand, need to get back to basics very quickly. Poor decision making and some very average skills have cost us 2 very winnable games.

They want to stick with their style of play no matter what. Give credit to Port in today's match- they were very good without Treadrea, and Wanganeen.

They're just playing ********.

In the first half, there wasn't a single player for the Swans that you'd say was having a good game.

Port are pretty good, but not good enough to do that unaided.

Who from WC? To me you guys just look the same as you did this time last year.

We were painful to watch and looked 3 metres slower than Port all day. Back to the good old days when we could have a choice of seats and the players had to jump the fence to retrieve the ball.

New rules have killed off their game, and im happy about that. They like to slow the game down, but now teams know what to do to get them on the back foot.

They have to have a change of game style soon, reigning premiers losing their first two games against the Dons and Power isnt exactly a good sign.

I tipped Port today, Sydney are always pretty slow starters but I don;t think I would be too concerned just yet. The new rules can't be that bad seriously and you'll get used to them, they won't kill your game plan settle down. It'll take time but I still see them as a top 8 team. If they lose their next couple then I'll eat my words.

I I'd been part of a Premiership team the year before I'd probably be hungover for the whole of the next year.

The Swans were 2-4 after 6 matches last year before starting on a winning run to the flag, so it seems they are slow starters. Suppose you only have to be good at one time of the year as a couple of sides may find out later on. Whether the same thing happens this year, well only time will tell, but it does mean it's too early to write them off yet. No offence to their supporters though but I am hoping it's 0-3 at the end of next week!

some here might have you believe it's all the fault of the umpires and the vic-centric afl administration and media.

Last Monday all the analysis from the "AFL experts" basically blamed the umpires for Round 1. They will probably do the same in the paper tomorrow. They never say the Swans did not play well and the other team actually played better than them.

And then they will probably also say that Kennelly being out is a big factor too.

And then the swans will send their captains to complain about the umpires on the footy show.
