I watched a replay of the Freo game and was very happy with the quality of our tackling during the game the players are getting very good at this I suspect they are getting lots of tuition from some league players.
They are going straight at the hips of the player they are tackling leading with there shoulder, classic rugby league tackling style. A couple of players are still adjusting there tackling position based on the ball and not the player but in general they are very good at taking a player to ground.
One piece of play in our forward line we layed about 5 tackles that brought players to ground and spilled the ball resulting in a goal for us. It is still an area we can improve on but they seem to be on the right track.
