Just looking towards the future, who could be our tagger? Even West Coast have one (Stenglein), but I can't really see any of our young plays being one?

Polo :thumbsu: is and will be our premier run with player. Knows how to find the ball and hurts his opponent on the rebound. Has plenty of mongrel, perfect fit for this role

gotta feeling he is going to be the tagged one dude. Not saying he is not going to be the premier run with player for us, just saying that he is that damaging on the rebound, his tag will be tagging him. And he has been in the game for 5 minutes in terms of a career.
He was given the exam last year by TW, with the assignements he was given as you well know. I am confident TW knows what he has got at his disposal. I would even go as far as to say, barring any unforeseen stuff, Brownlow material. ;)

Would jake 'the snake' king be suitable, certainly has a bit of mongrel to upset opposition players...look no further than his thorough pissing off job on motlop.

thats what i love about this kid. The Run with title probably doesnt do him justice, more like go head to head against the oppositions most damaging player. I had faith from day 1 that he had the goods. He kept griffen who was the premier under 18 midfielder to 3 possessions in a carnival match. Knows what its about.

Tigerdream tbh Im not completely sold on King yet. Hes got mongrel and courage but hasnt really done a number on an opponent yet that stands out. He needs to work on keeping focused on the job the whole time, lapses occassionally and his opponent invariably hurts us. Im cutting him some slack though bc hes taken huge steps to go from suburban footy 2 years ago to regular AFL player and it takes a while to get the mindset right. But if next year hes still having these lapses........

Yeah agreed montana, I was meaning purely from a niggle point of view. has the ability to get under an opponents skin like no other.

Jackson has had a couple of run with rolls and has handled them quite well.
I couldn't understand why he was dropped a few weeks ago and was rapt when they brought him in Last night, and he really took the opportunity.
Also has a bit of mongrel in him he just needs to learn to let it out, it could come with a bit more confidence.
Another big plus with Jackson is that when he gets it on the rebound he can kick the thing a mile.

Jacko and Newman should be our #1 and #2 taggers respectively next year
Polo and Tuck should be the #1 and #2 hard nut midfielders respectively next year
Foley and Coughlan should be the #1 and #2 midfield generals respectively next year

So at the start of each quarter we should have a midfield of Foley, Polo, Jacko. The second half each each quarter we should have a midfield of Coughlan, Tuck and Newman. 2 pretty good ball winning midfields

hes trying to hard dude. He wants to prove himself to much and its affecting his judegement. Looking at him at Coburg, he was a pretty cunning player. If he gets the nod, that will take that pressure off him and confident he has upside when he settles down. You can see it in his eyes, he is like a rabbit caught in the headlights, wanting to do 300% when his 100 is much better. Give him another 2 years and he will at worst give us an option when needed. If someone better comes along, then thats a bonus, he is the foil, if he keeps on improving at the rate he has over the last 3, then its a bonus. We need to have at least 30 that can mix it at a given time on the big stage. That has been a our big nemesis for a long long time. Its like we have 4 or 5 injuries and we are toast.;)

nah i love king off the back line gives us run and is very hard at it. I think he would be wasted as a tagger!
