C'mmmmmooooooooooonnnn Lleyton..
How about all the Hewitt knockers climb back under their rocks..
"He'll get hammered by Baghdatis"
"Gonna lose to the first decent player"

Stick it up em Lleyton..Bring on another awesome match against Novak..
Love the way he had some attacking flair tonight, some of those shots running round the second serve..just sublime...:thumbsu:

Will get hammered against Djokovic.

Just because he won doesn't make him any less of a ****wit.

It was a fitting shot to end it on, more of a mind over matter thing in the end (Bahgdatis had clearly thrown in the towel and was just waiting for Hewitt to finish him off).

I'm glad for him, hopefully he's put some of his own demons to rest with that match (and that shot).

He did this in the 4th set. Bahgdatis was nearly crying from laughing too much because Hewitt couldn't even close out the match

Exactly..He looked so much more dangerous when he was playing with flair..In the 4th set he got the jitters and played safe, like you said, that shot could be worth more than just that match point..Now for revenge on the epic they had at wimbledon..Was an outstanding match then, should be the same this time around..

I reckon Baghdatis would have puled out had he won, ankle injuries are ok the same day but the next day he would have struggled even walking..seemed to be moving just fine but wait till it cools down..

I was thinking this too, as it would be the only concievable reason that a professional player of Bahgdatis' calibur would ever "give up" the way he did.

This match never reached any great heights but the drama was unbelievable. It has to be one of the most mentally draining matches that Hewitt has ever had to play. After failing to close out the match in the fourth set, you've got to tip your hat to hewitt for maintaining that last drop of belief.

But you just can't help thinking that Hewitt has lost the killer instinct. On too many occassions he stumbles when he should be aggressive. The fourth set was a carbon copy of what happened to Lleyton against Istomin. I hate to think what would have happened had Bagdahtis' unforced error count being lower.

For Hewitt to have any chance of beating Djokovic, he must first take out a much more formidable opponent in himself.

Hewitt is so overrated and you've got to hate him becauser of his stuck up arrogance and bad sportsmanship ... Complaining about the refs just cause he cant win and last year about the court surface he was also blabbing on about... And so they listened to him and changed the courts, now the Aus Open looks like its the Us open :eek:
