For the sake of peace i think you should post all the GWS fan stuff on their board Soph, or not at all to be honest.

I thought it was an ok gesture to buy a membership and help support them as they establish themselves, but going to games and making player banners is a bit OTT.

I have ****ING Loyalty I given every ****ing thing to this club god knows how much money ive pumped into it and how many miles ive clocked up travelling for them the banners ive painted, the support ive been giving them so dont say im not Loyal for **** sake half of you live in melbourne my sydney based friends will back me up here...im 1st at the gates each week to get in to the ground to see my ressies play and then to stand on the fence and cheer and support the swans! Im a bloody good fan and ill tell you what I will go and support WHO EVER I WANT WHEN EVER I WANT i dont give a shit about what any of you think and if you all have a ****ing problem with it ill piss off because clearly none of you have respect for you, your all ****ing grumpy bastards that probably need a good root to cheer yourselves up!

I LIKE GWS i enjoy the way they play hard footy and stick it to good teams
I enjoy the fact that AFL is becoming A BIG DEAL in Sydney
I enjoy that one of my really dear friends whos been there for me with my Diabetes plays for the Giants
I like that fact that i tweet Giants players and they have a interest in what i say and always write back
I Also like St Kilda and Hawthorn and would be happy to attend their games if lived in melbourne...i know alot of melbourne people who support a team but love to go and watch other games!
I like the fact that ORANGE looks good on me!

I don't back stab anyone Im telling you how I feel straight up. Walk a mile in a South Melbourne supporters shoes and you wouldn't do it, whats worse is you're shoving it in our faces 'on purpose'.. and enjoying the process.
 
On reflection Soph, you are right about your loyalty to our club it should never be questioned, but the fact you ARE one of our most loyal members is what offends me as a member.. You are leading the march for Swans supporters to cross over, I love this club and Ill fight for the inches.. I don't wanna sit back and support it so Ill voice my displeasure. Yeah I know Im being a little dramatic but its not a personal attack on you, I felt the same about our great and beloved Paul Kelly. He saw the light.

There is no rule she is breaking.

I don't know you or Soph, so I couldn't care less about who I upset but she can post whatever she likes until she breaks a site rule. Just ignore it.

FFS bedders, just shut up. I was keeping my silence because in an issue like this I'm trying to stay neutral. I think decking out in another club's colours is a bit much, but I support where Soph is coming from. Likewise I can understand where you guys are coming from. When Grim comes in trying to be diplomatic you imply just because we've gone to the footy together that he's guilty by association? And then trying to drag me into it as well?
 
Very sad to read the last page or so of posts, not just that one of the most loyal supporters on this board is being attacked but also that fellow Swans supporters have resorted to sniping at each other. Life's too short for this...

Rubbish.. You also have a GWS membership so I expected nothing less from you. No one has been abusive I think I have been very honest and civil in my manner.
How do you think it would go down on any other boards with the loyal members when one of the board favourites are claiming to have done what she has done? Seriously?? It would go into meltdown.

I think it has been pretty tame considering.

And Grim, how does this 'ignore' feature even work? And why would you bother with it?
Yes I agree everyone has the right to post whatever their random thoughts are within the rules, as is the right of reply.
 
Very simple Bez, click on the user's name, a popup screen appears and there's a link to 'Ignore' the poster. Basically you won't see any of their posts on any of the forums.

And the reason you would bother is because you are irascible about this topic, every time Soph mentions the word GWS you feel the need to question her loyalty and her motives. You might not like it but at the end of the day it's her time and money and no one else has to right to tell her how to spend them.

But its much simpler to just select the things to ignore in my own head? The inter web has taken control of your minds that just sounds stupid. The very fact Soph has made the posts leaves it open to discussion and she obviously wanted everyone to know.
And yeah, I am genuinely interested in anyones motives for joining GWS.

I wasn't having a crack at anyone Grim, my point was if I put all the moderators on ignore can I post whatever I want without getting a card? Or can an 'ignored' poster still read my stuff?
