Is anyone else finding Australia's lack of success slightly amusing?

I mean I am loving it how people are asking questions about why we haven't won as much gold compared to other years... But then refuse to point out that they have cut a huge amount of out Sports funding (Especially to support our failed world cup bid)

I'm not too concerned, it goes in cycles. In terms of total medals won, we're still doing OK for a nation of our size. The media is just focusing on the negatives as usual. Winning Olympic gold is difficult, that's what makes it so rare and valuable. It's a competition -- all the training, hard work and preparation in the world can at best give you the opportunity to go for gold. You can never predict with certainty what will happen on the day -- you could catch a cold on the day of the final so you don't swim at your best, you could have a poor start or trip over a hurdle.

Besides -- Lewis Jetta kicked 19 behinds before he finally scored his first major, and look how that turned out!! I rest my case

She's not that bad though Ive seen her glammed up, hair straightened, great body nothing sexier than an athletes body. Gotta love a nice camel toe too. Bedford you told me your favourite Aussie athlete was Seen Lee love to see her pic I don't know what she looks like.

Just on Sally, did anyone see the Jamaican chick, 37yrs old, last olympics and she hit a hurdle and all over for her? Biggest dummy spit, threw herself on the ground twice like a little child totally shattered..
Sally was giving an interview and as the Jamaican chick walked past in tears, Sally brushed the interviewer off mid sentence and went to console her, walking her out of the arena arm around her shoulder. Was very touching and shows her true character what a great Australian sports ambassador is Sally, very proud of her and have total respect for the chick. Deserves the gold.
