I notice in the HUN today that Tambling is now 181cm and 74kg.

Does it make any difference to who Richmond selects at pick 1?

(FYI, his stats now resemble the stats of Daniel Wells in terms of height and weight. We all now what Daniel Wells can do to a game!)

My personal view is that Richmond would be looking more closely to Tambling now than they would have had he still been 68kg. However, the wave of public support, media support etc etc (which Wallace will no doubt want to follow) still dictates that Deledio will be picked no.1.

By the way, I am assuming the stats we see re Deledio are outdated as well. Jugding by the photos I have seen of him, I have no doubt he will fill up to a Couglan size (ie. around 88kg).

deledio will end up at least 190 cm, a fair size for a midfielder. will enable him to hold a key position if need be also. he will go 1 or 2 so we need to take him at one. tambling looks good but 'lids' is the complete package. tambling might still be there at 4. so in answer to your question no i dont think it makes a difference.

I'd hate to be making the call between deledio and tambling. By all reports he's apparently the best ever indigenous player to play the game. On the other hand, he comes from the NT and could find the going tough in the AFL.

This sounds familiar...

1.Brendon Goddard:Gippsland Power
2.Daniel Wells:peel Thunder
...
1.Brett Deledio:Murray Bushrangers
2.Richard Tambling:Northern Territory

Geez you guys/ladies would kno wwho I would take...

Bling Bling!!!

But the safe bet would be Deledio

And the Tigers usually take the safe bet...so they should be more daring

If we pick Deldio i hope we never end up calling him DELUDio.

They would have his numbers from the Draft Camp and would be going on those. They would have some idea how much of that new weight was muscle and how much pizza. The worry would be that he would actually end preseason lighter than he began it if he the extra bulk was not muscle.

WHo cares how fat they are.

I'm worried about how good they will be in three years. TAmbling for mine. Happy either way though, but still think Tambling is going to be good.

both are class acts but deledio is has more scope to be key position player
in the future so he would have to be the one we want.but if tambling was
still hanging around at pick 4 i'd snap him up. :)

Tambling has just about nothing over Deledio, their draft camp results were basically even.

Considering that Deledio is bigger, younger and more versatile i see no reason why we logically won't draft him.

It would be so much easier if Richmond just came out and said they were going to take him at 1.

I thought I saw an article a couple of days ago that also said that Deledio had been sick or overcoming an injury in the lead up to the draft camp, which puts an upside to his draft camp results.

He's not even at the club yet and we are already making excuses for him! ;) ;)

If we dont pick up Deledio we as a club might aswell call it a day

some say its the "safe" option, well if its a safe option then it must seriously be the right option shouldnt it?

I'm sick of seeing our top picks going to waste, and again if Deledio is the safe option then Tambling must be the "risk" option and I'm no longer prepared to accept Richmond gamble on our top picks,

if tambling turns out to be a great player so be it but if we pass up on Deledio god help Richmond if he becomes a star, any other club would jump at Deledio first and thats not some made up crap.

oh yeah i can see it now.... only at Richmond

pick 1 Tambling 2004 RFC

3 years down the track people start calling him fumbling .......... threads start appearing

Fumbling v Deledio

works both ways doesnt it?
