with so much being said about bling in the years he has been playing and the so called pressure he is constantly under, do we think he will make it and have a breakout 2008...

he is an extremely capable player and has the talent to be an absolute elite footballer!!

lets just put the last few years behind us and look forward to seeing tambling evolve like we all know he can!!:thumbsu:

Tambling will give decent service as a HF/Rotating MF player but is never going to be a star or elite.....He simply isn't good enough.....

yep...sad but true RT

carmi99 would have been odds on favourite to be the first opposition supporter to post in a new thread on this board too;) he didn't disappoint:cool:

Personally I think that while Carmi is poorly versed in football knowledge, at least his spelling is of a level where, should he stop trolling our board and instead pick up the employment section of the paper, he may one day find a job.

Probably in sanitation.

Women's personal sanitation.

There is no hope for Aimslee H or Magnificence (who should be here any minute now).

We should seriously stop this crap about Tambling. He will be fine, you will see next year will be his big breakout year, i can guarantee it, bookmark it. Who gives a shit what other supporters say about him. They dont watch him every week like us tiger fans do. I have seen enough of bling to say that he will be a star. It will eventually all click for him and god help all those trolls next year when he rips it up.

I saw Bling as a different player towards the end of year that suggested he was getting his confidence, and was taking the game on.
The game early in the year against Collingwood and West Coast showed us what he will be and also his last 5-6 games, especially the St Kilda game showed me that he will be a gun. He has had more Disposals this year and kicked more goals then any other year so he is progressing well.

The guy has had a few injuries since arriving and this will be his 2nd proper pre season. I remember i was at that game against Collingwood in the NAB Cup in 2005 and saw bling for the 1st time, i said to my mate he will be a player and looked so comfortable out there, i knew from that game on he will be a star. It went wrong for him after that with his injuries, but he is developing well and has improved each year.

I have stopped listening to Posters like MonkeyBoy and so on because they talk shit and have no clue about Tambling.

I also spoke to Craig Mcrae after the season finished and as our player development coach i asked him about bling. He said Tambling will be a star and is rated very highly at our club. Said it will take him another year or two before he reaches his true potential which saw him be pick 4 in 2004.
I believe him because he spends enough time with him and knows what a star he will be.

So just ignore knobs who talk shit about bling.

Thank you for the advice but i am actually employed. Fortunately (depending on which side you butter your bread) my work involves working on a PC, therefore giving me plenty of time to surf the net.

I actually think that i am quite well versed when it comes to football knowledge but i guess that is a matter of opinion, much like it is a matter of opinion whether or not Tambling will ever be a star. I'm sure your smart enough to get my point. :thumbsu:

On the subject of that Aimslee guy, do you think he knows that it is actually meant to be Ainsley Harriott or is he simply taking the piss? :D

I do aggree with the comment in bold, Tambling did improve towards the end of this season and seemed to start backing himself in a little more. I just don't think he has shown enough to indicate that he is going to turn into a star. He will still be a good player for your club but in my opinion will never make 'star' or 'elite' status.

I dont know if you have been informed or not but we were told when Tambling was recruited that he will show his true potential when he is 22-24, we were also told that anything he does before that is a bonus. We were told this just after he was recruited. Tambling was very light when he was recruited and has bulked up really well and will be much bigger next year. I know he will be a star like i said bookmark it and he will be the most improved player next year.
Look at Shaun Burgoyne i remember he was touted a dud aswell at one stage and also was said he will never be a star and look at him now....
All it takes is a few years of development and he will be right up there and will justify his number 4 pick. :thumbsu:

Good on you, Carmi. You've suddenly developed rational behaviour. As long as you can be clear, concise and well thought out you're welcome to contribute, but even you'd have to agree most of your posts are one eyed tainted views designed to give us the sh!ts. Put that stuff on the Bombers page or AFL board if you want, but don't come over here just to p!ss us off - save it for the outer in winter, if you still think it's a good idea.

Silly me, i actually thought that my first post was as clear and concise as one could get. Didn't i say something along the lines of "Tambling will be a decent HF/MF player for Richmond but will never be an elite or star player"? Not concise enough for you? You do realize that the meaning for concise is, covering or expressing much in few words: brief in form but comprehensive in scope? Maybe you meant that you would like me to elaborate further in future posts? if so i understand your point but i don't think it would have been possible to be more concise then i was. :thumbsu:

So you are saying that it may be up to another 3 years before we see Tamblings true potential?

I hope for his sake that he realizes his potential before then.

Are you implying that you would not have drafted him if you were told of this so called late development prior to the draft? It certainly sounds like you are. Most players are in there prime by the age of 24 yet you state that your club was given information stating that Tambling won't even show his true potential until the age of 22-24. Quite a strange state of affairs if what you say is true.

I can't recall Shaun Burgoyne being touted as a dud, he was pretty handy in his first few years and played in a premiership. He was more of a run with player and did the job asked of him week in week out. In the last 2 years he has been given more of a free reign and as a result has become a very dominent midfielder.

I think you're wrong tambling has all the talent in the world but he just doesn't use it enough,he's borderline krakouer material a very lazy footballer.

Cupido had all of the talent in the world but did not make it in the AFL because he was far too lazy.

This means he was not good enough.

Dedication is a key attribute to being a good footballer.:thumbsu:

It is only when a player is in his prime that he shows his true potential.

I agree with you tambling needs to show a lot more next year otherwise he could be shown the door.I just hope he pulls his finger out and starts us showing his true potential.

No it isn't, Potential is only one aspect of a player reaching the prime stage in there careers. It is also the stage where a player reaches his peak condition, maturity levels reach sufficient levels and of course skills being at there peak. It is also generally the time where the players form is at unsurpassed levels.

A player can show his true potential well before being in the peak stage of his career. Lance Franklin showed his true potential this year but he is still along way off being in the prime stages of his football career.

I think it is fair to assume that when speaking about the AFL or any sport, the words potential and prime are used in two different contexts yet you are implying that it is the same thing.

The club is recruiting a sports psychologist...

Not just for Tambo of course, but I think they could spend some time together.

If that's correct I'm surprised. I thought by now every club employ the services of a sports psychologist for their players at this elite level.

What i am trying to say is that Tambling will be 22 next year and i am saying that he will have a breakout year where people then realise that he is a gun, but at the age of 23-24 he will become a star (elite). Do you get what i am saying now. That is what i believe and what i have seen of him. It was always going to take him 3-4 years till he has a body of an AFL player, hence taking 3-4 years till he bulks up.
He will be a star mark my words. :thumbsu:

I'd be surprised if we didn't have access to one, but I suspect this is either getting one 'full time' and/or a better one than we currently have ( although they'd never put it that way of course ).

Don't worry T30, Carmel only comes on here to sh*tstir people.

He deliberately misinterprets what people post, the previous one in response to your statement about the age bracket in which we will see Tambling's potential turn into performance being a classic example.

Everyone else understood you, but Carmel chooses to play with it, while trying to pass himself off as a 'serious' commentator.

Sad really...
