Yep. He's barometer. He needs to get literally pushed out by some young talent commanding a spot for us to be on the up.Coin_Toss said:He's not finished but he does not belong in our best side.

He's not as bad as most knockers suggest. Handy.

How do you figure that when they were both in the side all last year?jamie8901 said:I personally think that Tarkyn Lockyer's position will be overtaken by a new up and comer in Heath Shaw.
To really have a good list they should have been traded on the basis they need to be superseded. Get what return you can because they aren’t likely to be in a 22 that wins a flag. If that makes us take a step backwards to go forward then that’s AFL in the modern era.Timmy from Thomastown said:Same applies for Licuria Davis Lonie and O'Bree. None are that bad that they should be delisted, but all need to be superceded via natural attrition in the next year or two.

Your right but its to late to trade him now so maybe we try a young bloke in his position and leave him at willy for depth and at the end of the year delist him....... bloody cruel footy now isnt it?MarkT said:To really have a good list they should have been traded on the basis they need to be superseded. I think with the two improvers of 2006, being Heath Shaw and Dane Swan, have kicked him out of our best 22 (18 atleast). He had a very good first half of the year did Tarkyn, but in the second half got exposed more with his lack of pace, decline in skills and definately as a one-on-one small defender.
Problem is that is the sort of list management strategy we have employed in the past and it doesn’t help building a top end list. Sheedy is the master at getting returns for hacks and serviceable players. The biggest issue is timing.barwick said:Your right but its to late to trade him now so maybe we try a young bloke in his position and leave him at willy for depth and at the end of the year delist him....... bloody cruel footy now isnt it?
