Did anyone watch Acker and mathews on the footy show last night?

I can't be sure because I was 'influential' at the time, but I first noticed that Acker's hands were really white and his arms were tanned. This looked strange, so I was having a closer look and I could see (I think) the outline of a swallow tattoo that had been erased on Acker's forearm.

Did he used to have a tatt on his forearm, or was that some real good shi t that I smoked last night?

Does it for me everytime.

I like the chinese writing above the arse crack. Which I'm certain if translated would read: "Insert Here."

Tattoos above the arse crack are bitch tattoos right? So why has Leppisch got one there?

I have numerous tattoos, coming in at 10 at the momment, with them being quite large, 3/4 sleeves. I dont have any thoughts of what my tattoos or myself will be like when I'm 70, frankly I live my life for now, and not how my superannuation is going to sit with being a tattooed grannie.

Well said. I got my first one seven years ago, and my second big one three years ago, and I couldn't care if my designs become cool or whatever. I got them for me, not to impress anyone else (although chix seem to dig it). Gotta live for now, not what people may think of you in the future, and as long as I like them when I'm older, and I'm sure I will, why should anyone else care?

Anyone who get's a tatt without giving them serious thought is a fool though.

I have been around tattoos all my life. Dad has a heap - being of the Harley-riding, long bearded clan and even my Mum got one a few years ago. Dad's best mate is a tattooist. I was always going to get one, before they were ever "trendy" or "fashionable". Anyone who gets one to follow fashion is a fool. I thought long and hard about what I wanted and didn't rush straight out when I was 18 to get inked up.

I have a sun, star and moon (coloured) in the middle of my lower back. Since I'm not big on cropped tops, they aren't usually on display, but I know they're there and I like them. That area is also unlikely to stretch or be exposed to the sun, preserving the colour.

They can also be addictive, and I find myself thinking of getting another one however it has to be in a place that will be covered by normal clothing. I wouldn't want a formal occasion and gown "cheapened" by an inappropriately placed tatt.

My golden rules of tattooing:

No sports teams/clubs
No bands
No names (except children or parents/grandparents, these are unlikely to change)

When it comes down to it, it's a personal choice and I personally am sick of people going on about it and accusing everyone with a tattoo of being a fashion victim.

The difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that tattooed people don't care if you're not tattooed

PP I disagree, I didn't get mine to be fashionable, just wanted to get one to show how much I love my team, can't understand why you are against people getting team tattoos, I would never get one for decoration because your tastes change, I will always love the Bombers so will never be sorry I have my Tatt.

AH I have to disagree on the band deal, the tattoos you are going to be most fond of are those who have sentimental connatations to them, music is such a huge factor in my life, most times, its the thing that makes me most happiest, and my first tattoo I ever got was the Husker du symbol of the album zen arcade, its my first, and means alot, just like the band.

I have a unicorn on the back of my left shoulder. I always wanted one, but was kinda wary about what to get. I didn't want to get something fashionable, or something that would look dated in a few years. I've had it for 4 or 5 years, and I've never regretted it.

I don't think it will matter too much as I age. So many people my age and younger have them these days, that when we're 70 it will be a common thing to see old people with them. We just think it's weird now because we imagine our grandparents with them. It's not going to be the same.

You fcuking loser.

It may be spelt wrong, but I don't think anyone was under any illusions to what the topis is about. I've seen your feminist troll on another thread. Why don't you fcuk off back to the kitchen.

saw a girl on the train this morning with a mad one on her back (Footscray line of course) i so want one now. My father would kick me out but oh well worth the risk. In regards to tattoo designs can u design them yourself and are there any websites that showcase the different designs you can get?

Spidergirl - I told the guy what I wanted and he sketched it out for me and made changes until it was what I wanted.

Make sure you really really really really really want it and are prepared to live with it!! I took a couple of years to decide!

You live in Melbourne, yeah? Well, I heartily recommend Vic Market Tattoo which is where I got my last two . . . very clean, very funky (more like a 50's cafe then a seedy ink parlour), the tattooists are all young and groovy, make you feel very comfortable etc. I would suggest you go in there and have a look at all the "flash" designs on their walls and see if there's anything you like. You can always say "I like the style of this one but can you make it this big and put this here instead of there or make this a star instead of a heart" or whatever. Pretty accommodating.

Be prepared to shell cash out. Like the sign says - good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good. Their minimum is $60.

Also think about exactly where you want it. They will put the outline on in ink and you check it in the mirror and make sure it's exactly where you want it. Even if you want to stuff around with fake ones at home first to get an idea. Also, make sure your skin is well moisturised.

There are websites but it is mostly tattoo parlours showing off pictures of their work or flash artists selling their wares.

For pics of tattooed celebrities (interesting): Celebrity Tattoos

Hope some of this helps!

legend ta for that!

I wanna get something to do with Spiders and probably get it on the back or near the snatch.

I will save up for a good one i think after gettin the belly ring at a place that seems to be cheapo and forever having to go and get it redone after it ****s up its just not worth it.

I'll never get one. However, when I was a little, I always wanted a green star on my belly like a Sneech in the Dr. Suess book. If I had a gun to my head in a ttatoo parlor, I'd go that route.

BTW that is how to spell it, eh? With two t's?

Is this what you mean?
