I saved the picture in my avatar years ago in preparation of a flag in case I did decide to commemorate the occasion. Not sure if I would but if I did, stickman for sure.

As for outside of a flag, I guess 'Fortius Quo Fidelius' would be a good choice.

Mine came out because of the potato famine.
Doesn't mean I've got any more right to the flag, or the southern cross, than any other Australian whether their ancestors came out in 1789, or were here for 40,000 years, or were born OS and got their citizenship certificate last weekend.

The trouble is if I get a southern cross tattoo on my back people are going to make certain assumptions and associations. Given that I'm already a 6'3" 100kg white guy with a shaved head I'd prefer not to do anything to encourage those assumptions. I reckon the OP would be wise to do likewise.
If the southern cross has some specific meaning to you get it tattooed by all means but do it somewhere sensible and be prepared that people may associate you with views which are not your own.
(At least I hope they're not... inner bogan or otherwise)

Stick with the Saints and a bit of Latin to make it "classy" (not on your arse though)
