Yeah. His leadership was exactly the right thing at exactly the right time for our club. Reading Scott Gullan's The Mission it's not hard to see Geelong were 'leadershiply challenged' for years. We needed a diplomat and, as annoying as Harley's 'super smiling and nice with nary a bad word about anyone' approach on the television is, I think that's what successfully bridged the gap between Geelong's on and off-field components back then.
