If only this move had taken place a few days ago it'd be an almost seamless transition, but a lot of TBV regulars are now posting at alternatives.

It's not the same. Infact it's just as foreign as all the new offspring Carlton forums that has emerged from all this mess. CSC is still the safest bet.

....However, in time it should be OK. We'll just have to wait untill the dust settles.

The safest bet is a united site. So all the resources are intact for disposal to Carlton.

Loved camelboy coming out and saying he knew all about MoneyBaggers pocketing money from the new venture. He also feels betrayed that he wasnt given TBV and it went to PP and ODNB

You know something??I feel betrayed .. even as late as today with a post by camel saying he and Deej never fell out and were close..

Funny that!!! he feels betrayed and im supposed to shut up about the treatment to me???

I have to vent my spleen to camelboy.. youre not the only one allowed to write letters.

I actually feel vindicated .....

Surrey youre the dumbest dude on 2 legs

My challenge to all these peiple who are spring up out of the woodwork to be leaders is can you bring some sanity back to on line Carlton people or do we have to observe more of this bull dust????

Betrayed????*LOL*

Nice one....

actually tonight i have a bitter sweet taste happening.
Sweet cos Deej was exposed once and for all....

bitter cos people i actually knew in real life kept quiet in public about my treatmment.

Sad,...

I wasn't exposed for jack sh#t synbad, except arrogance and naivity. I've learnt my lessons on those counts, but i am now and always was an honest person who has/always had the best interests of Carlton at heart. If you choose to question that, that is your perogative. Others can judge me in that regard for themselves.

Now, to address another issue to people, did you know Collingwood have something like 5 forums, plus associated ezines like Buckley Surfers and Didak Online, but what does Carlton have? Well, it had TBV, and CSC, and Nick Stevens online. TBV was great, well structured, asthetically it's probably in the top few footy sites on the net. CSC has great motivation and content, but is structured lousey. Hard to read, cluttered, confusing. NSO was 2nd rate, but with a great passion behind it waiting to be harnessed with some decent tech ability. So let me get this right....do people think that the emergence of TalkingCarlton as a 3rd or 4th Carlton messageboard now is a bad thing? Are you for real? I'm sorry but i think that is some serious shortsighted thinking right there. More carlton content on the net can only be a good thing as far as i'm concerned. More the merrier, there are 700 thousand-odd carlton fans in australia and we've touched about 5000 of them max. The next decade will be crucial in the growth and re-establishment of Carlton as a power in the AFL, Pagan is doing great things with the list now, the finances are being turned around, we're moving to bigger home grounds, membership will grow, great young list, hell if you can't see what that's going to do to getting the Carlton message out there then you are plain blind. In the 3 days TBV was offline I was staggered that there were still people registering accounts, 10 on monday alone. People want to talk carlton now more than ever and you want to merge websites and group everyone in the one place?

Are you for f-ing real?????

Carlton fans have been screaming out for more decent content for them on the net for ages. Finally we're building a decent array of messageboards to reflect the stature of our club as a big club in AFL circles, and you want to wind it back....i just don't get you guys. You don't grow to be big by thinking small, you grow to be big by thinking HUGE. I've always said you aim high, you miss high. There is plenty of scope on the net for all sites to grow and prosper, and I think you're badly mistaken in trying to spruik anything else.

As for TBV, I have nothing to do with the admin of the site anymore. I am still able to go into admin areas under the site admin logon i created on day 2 of the site's existence which was a week before i took it online, but ODN will be turning off that username very soon. My GoBaggers username is no longer enabled as an administrator. I'm effectively just another punter on that site now, which suits me just fine as i've had it with the joint anyway. I've got too much going on in my life to be staying back at work till 8.30pm posting on the internet, i have a great wife and beautiful daughter at home waiting for me and just quietly i don't really fancy the wake up at 1am and can't get back to sleep thing due to stress, it sucks.

What i WILL be doing now, is establishing a carlton webring, and establishing an awesome carlton ezine. They will be linked to TBV but won't be part of it, I never again want to have to moderate a messageboard, but i do want to be part of a decent ezine site. The messageboard will be run whatever way PP and ODN and bluey95 want to do it, if that means putting up the admin for vote each year then so be it, if it means drawing colour-coded straws out of their arses in a secret ceremony then so be it, quite frankly i don't care what they do now, only that Carlton's presence on the net stays strong and prospers.

all control?

he's still the site owner.

That gives him a fair bit of control, wouldn't you say?
I have absolutely no way whatsoever of getting into the areas of the site that control the configuration of the site anymore. If i wanted to bring the site down now, I'd have to lobby ODN and PP and bluey95 to do it, and i'm sure they'd tell me to go stuff it under my jumper.

Ownership of the legal liability of the site is still mine, but i'm drawing up a legal document as we speak that will address that issue. I'm divorcing myself totally from all administration of TBV, and legal liability issues too from posters and discussions on the site that might arise.

Sorry, should've added, in my opinion. Don't mean to propegate any opinions as facts. TBV had it's bad points too, as do all sites for that matter.

This is the biggest scandal to rock the Blues since George Harris was ousted at the end of '79'.

Come you blokes! Get your act together.

Deej and Synbad, not to be rude or anything but nobody cares about your petty problems and bickering. We're all sick to death of it so if you want to post something constructive or, hey here's a thought, actually about football than do so but if you just want to winge about how badly you've been done by then you can both bugger off.
