They may not lose the actual Championships but i think they may lose at least one game along the way. But even if they didnt win the World's, whoever took the gold would be a hollow victory as we all know that the US is the best Bball nation in the world. And if America's best actually played no team would get close to the likes of Shaq, Duncan, T-Mac, Iverson, Kobe, Garnett etc etc..

Ming just scored 38 points, grabbed 13 boards and blocked 8 shots against Algeria!

Fair enough that the two poor guys playing centre for Algeria were only 6'8 but it would be bad news if Ming couldnt dominate against that kind of opposition.

Bodes well for his rookie season.

USA were down in third quarter (AGAIN) against Germany but had a run in the fourth to run out winners. With Germany's only recognized player being Nowitzki, this does point to the US team being quite vulnerable indeed coxon.
