One of the keys to winning SC is finding ways to increase your team's value. This is one statistic that is maybe overlooked and with plentiful trades this year, it might be even more important to jump onto the every player with big increases regardless if they are true rookies, or a midpricer with a low B/E. Having plenty of cash early in the year is also especially important as the sooner your team is set the more points you will have overall..

Just looking at the top 10 ranked teams, this is the spread of their value increase:
2 1M+
4 900-1M
4 800-900K
1 600-800k

Ironically the highest ranked team actually has the lowest value increase of those 10...

And they all have between 12-15 players (before this week's trades) with negative B/Es..

So BF, what is your value increase?

I'm on 982k myself and 16 players with negative B/Es (including Macaffer who did not play last round).

nb: this is your team value (-10M) + rem. salary cap.

You're not being very clear. Are you saying that we should add our remaining bank money to our overall team value or is it already included?

My team value has gone up 805k according to the 'Team History' thing. If I add the money I have in the bank ATM to that, then my team value increase is 1.1M

I have 18 players with negative B/Es ...as in -0

10.6M + .5M in the bank
19 players who should reach or exceed their b/e
7 players who probably won't reach their b/e
3 who won't play (Mitchell Kommer Macaffer)

I don't understand the bank! Why?

Why? For upgrades. Shaw, Stevie J, Watson, Selwood and many more are heading down. If you already have cash you are saving trades by not having to downgrade two rookies to get a watson, instead you can go directly from say a Kommer to a Watson because the cash is already there. And the added bonus of buying Watson at his lowest. He's not going to throw out many 60's this year so you want to grab him while he is in that cycle. It's awfully hard to have a lot of cash sitting there ( i have 440K) but you will thank yourself in a few weeks when these players become available and the rookies have 35+ break evens.

Yep exactly, my 500k in the bank is waiting for next week's upgrade of a rookie to Ablett, Pendles or JSelwood.

Selwood will be bottomed out in 2 more weeks I think. Hopefully he throws up another *stinker tonight and he's dirt cheap with two very low scores in his rotation.

*as long as we win ;)
