How would you like to see the team to take on Brisbane at the GABBA

Heres mine

For me...

IN - Gardiner, Kerr(assuming they're both fit)

OUT - Selwood, Graham

I know some of you kepe saying it is time to drop Lynch but he needs to be in the team but as i have said many times not at FF but he needs to be moved back to CHB. If Lynch moves to CHB we could have both Gardy and Seaby rotating at FF.

Selwood will be unlucky to miss out but i think Chipper should be given another week in the team as he can provide that spark if whenever we need one.

I can see Graham being dropped as if Gardiner is fit we will have to drop a tall to bring back Gardy and i tihnk Graham will be the one to be omitted... He hasnt done anything wrong though in the 2 weeks he has played for us so far

As for Mcdougall i cant see him coming back in the team this week... he isnt quite ready and still needs a week or two in the WAFL.

If Gardi's fit, he should come in to replace Lynch at Full Forward. Drop Lynch to the WAFL for a couple of weeks to work on his marking (and not crashing into his own players...)

Lynch would be better in the back line, where he can push out other players rather than in the forward line where he seemed to stuff up a few scoring opportunities for others.

No need to rush Kerr back...midfield are getting better all the time and Selwood is a gun.

Heres my team

INS: Kerr, Gardiner and Staker
OUT: Graham Lynch Butler

(Id say Selwood is ahead of Butler at the moment, but not by a lot...)

Id like to see Gardiner dropped to Full forward with Seaby and Matera next to him. Id be shocked if Lynch gets a game this week. He hasnt done anything to deserve it and with Hansen holding down CHF it will probably be a good idea to give Gardiner a go at Full Forward. Id like to see Embley play on a Half Forward Flank. He isnt really needed in the midfield and his marking strength can be damaging... Id expect Stenglein to line up on Simon Black who normally carves us up... I think we can win this game but i am not overally confident here.... Our travel form is still a bit suspect and i can see Daniel Bradshaw posing some problems for us...

I will be utterly perplexed if Lynch a.) remains at FF or b.) is dropped.

Brisbane have been playing a ruckman sized player at CHF in the absence of Brown, it would seem that is an ideal defensive matchup for Lynchy.

Really, he has every reason to feel dudded if he gets dropped- he's being played out of position and hasn't even been given a chance to prove he can handle his position of choice this season.

Agreed. Lynch must stay in the side.

Kerr and Gardiner will both obviously be automatic inclusions if they are healthy. If this is the case then Graham will be unluckily ommited for Gardy and Kerr will come in for one of Butler/Selwood/Adkins. Take your pick.

I think we can beat Brisbane but they have there backs against the wall so they will come out fired up. But we have beaten them at the GABBA before and if anything, were getting better and there going a little backwards. So another win in Brisbane is certainly possible.

Tough game in Brissie backs to the wall for them, they will be dangerous

Out. Adkins, Graham, Selwood

In. Nicoski, Kerr, Staker

For me Butler is way ahead of Sewood hey thats my opinion... :)

I think its more about type of players and roles, than who played better against the doggies.

need gardiner back so someone can hold on to catches in the foward fifty...

i noticed that of our 21 goals on saturday only 3 came from marks!!

even though lynch has been dropping alot and hasnt been much more than handy, think he'll stay at FF, but hope he doesn't

Heard on the news that Gardiner is almost certain to come back in but Kerr is a long shot?
Yeah, that was said on Ten news. Wirra didn't train due to general soreness i think from the game. Cousins said most players were sore after a hard running game.

Mind you the prevouis week the talls kicked most of the goals so i don't think it is much of a problem.

Whilst were winning and Dougs is getting back to form in the WAFL lynch will probably stay were he is
.

PLEASE NO STAKER

Yep.

Butler and Graham draw the short straws this week. A fit gardiner is a walk up start and the only player who could make way for him is Graham.

Selwood has shaded Butler so far this year and deserves a spot on the pine. Kerr if fit comes in automatically.

Staker doesn't warrant a recall after 1 week in the WAFL

The real issue is who we play up forward. I'd like to try Hansen or Seaby at FF with Gardy going to CHF as an experiment.

Lynch must go down back because he's as useful as **** on a bull up forward.

Right now, I don't mind Lynch being up at FF. Although he isn't the best grab, or the best kick, he is providing a big body up in the forward line to shake up some of the backs and providing some opportunities for the small forwards.

But, unless he can make a future out of that FF position, I'd have to agree with the others and say that he'll need to go into the back line until a new FF can take his place.

I'm still giving him a chance though. I'm just hoping he can find some confidence and form.

I always personally though Embley would be good for FF.

Anyway, considering Eagles have good form, and have a good record up at the Gabba, I'm hoping for another win. I'm a bit worried though, Lions will be very hungry for a win, and will be fired up to give it a huge crack.

Just stopped by to wish you goodluck guys, though we might need it it more than you's. Nevertheless I still love our boys :) Cya.

If A.Selwood stays in the team, then it will be brother against brother on sunday if T.Selwood also stays in the Lions team. :D

They are both brave and intelligent players.
Could have been, but it looks like T.Selwood is out.
