I'm a fan of Telstra Dome, I think its a good stadium to watch the footy in and is a good set up. However the security there is shocking.
The bag checks are easy to get past, just pus the bag to the side of your body away from the checkers and don't make eye contact...you're through.
But recently another thing was brought to my attention, which has probably already been mentioned/talked about on this forum. Me and my mates hadn't had dinner and decided to get some subway for the footy. When we went to walk in a few of us were told that we couldn't bring the subway in with us. I made it in as mine was in my bag, but the lady at the gates told all my other friends that she saw with subway that they couldn't eneter the stadium with their food. Funnily enough, one of our group managed to smuggle it in by putting it under his footy jumper, despite the fact that ther top and bottom were poking out and he was constantly adjusting it. The others however, had to smuggle theirs in in a bag at another gate.
Now why would they stop us bringing food in, I can't think of any logical reason. I know there have been advertising issues before, and that is why subway outside the dome put the subs in brown bags. I personally think this is over the top. Has anyone else had this happen?
