Arnie's one-liners like "Get off" or "I'll drive" are classic and had the whole cinema in hysterics. Never get over them. Gold.

My favourite Arnie one-liner was actually from 'True Lies' when the two savage dogs jump up together to attack him and he smashes their heads together which sends them to the ground, and he says "stay." :D
 
Yeah, not as good as T2 but still worth a look for the car chase and some of Arnie's lines alone. And the T-X is nowhere near as good as the T-1000...

Wonder what will happen to the franchise if Arnie becomes governor of California? Maybe Robert Patrick will come back as the "good terminator"....that would be pretty funny, after they explain how the resistance managed to reprogam a blob of liquid metal...

Arnie was great and those one-liners got everyone in the theatre laughing

For me personally, it was nearly as good as the second, although in hindsite was it a relatively short movie??

I must admit I did like the scene with the T-X getting stuck to the big magnetic accelerator tube...that was very classy.

But otherwise I thought the T-1000 effects in T2 were much more imaginative (like the liquid nitrogen - classic). But where can you go after you've done the all-liquid terminator? That's why I thought the "liquid over a metal endoskeleton" was a bit of a step backwards for the T-X and all the extra features (nanotechnology, built in weapons, the fact it's a girl this time etc etc) were attempts to compensate for the fact the actual robot (sorry, *cybernetic organism*) wasn't as interesting. And what's the point of the built-in plasma gun (or whatever it was) when the best scenes are when the two terminators are beating each other up with their bare hands?

Just my opinion...

Definately ONE of the finest COMEDY, FULL ON ACTION MOVIES I've seen in a looooog time. I highly recommend anyone who is into these Terminator movies that THIS ONE ROCKS !! I LOVED IT !! Laughed my way thru it as if the Marx Bros were in it. :D

TheMase comment....spot on ! The CHASE scene is DYNAMITE ! :)

can't say whether it's better / less than T2...
 
Saw it, Loved it.

For me, the best thing about it was that it wasn't afraid to take the **** out of itself. Managed to be dark and hilarious at the same time. Highlights were Arnie (briefly) trying on the pink Dame Edna style glasses, and the Trauma counsellor's flashback type experience at the cemetry- had me in stitches.

The only gripe I sort of had with it, is not a lot happened. If you had to summarise the plot, it'd be as follows: 'Arnie: Judgement day is coming.' (enormous number of explosions, deaths, chase scenes, nuclear warheads et al.) (Judgement Day happens) The End. Bloody good ride though.

All in all, just a really really cool movie. You get the feeling the Terminator saga is building towards a truly stupendous wrapup. Maybe they'll make it a six parter a la Star Wars, and now do a post-apocalypse trilogy to go with the first 3.
 
It didn't touch 2, but I thought 2 was better than the original. Agree with Meade that it was slightly thin on story, but a good ride.

Several months ago, when I first heard 3 was going to sport a chick for an evil robot, I surfed up Kristanna Loken. She made the five immediately.

Final analysis: Beats hell out of being drug off to a chick flick.

I thought the movie was a waste of time and money. Sorry if this sounds harsh but it in NO WAY comes close to T2:JD. In fact it seems like a poor relation to T2 and T1, and it looked like it tried to use the best bits from both movies.

Short film with a couple of action scenes padded out with transistional scenes.

OK from the top:
- Why is it Arnie always ends up in the same clothes (I know he looks cool in the black get up, but to similar to T2).
- Why do Terminators continue to walk quickly after their targetted victims when they can almost run as fast as a car (this happens repeatedly in the movie).
- Scene Summary for both T2 and T3: Termintors arrive, bad T gets to victims 1st and good T saves victims, car/truck chase follows, good T & victims escape and dirve off to the desert, good guys find a stash of weapons, good guys now must destroy something, fire fight with the police, another chase with bad T, final showdown with bad T.
- first TvT fight was similar to T2 with bad T winning and getting the jump on good T.
- Bad T starts chase in Truck and good T pursues on a motorbike.
- T3 Car/Truck chase did ressemble Truck chase in T2 but T3 did take this to another level... about the only time T3 was able did this.
- T3 Funeral cop shootout was only a slice of the T2 cop shootout.
- T3 chase after shootout was pathetic compaired to the T2 chase after shootout (but this did lead into the T2 finale).
- T3 final TvT fight was better then anything similar in T2.
- T3 scene with bad T getting stuck on Pipe was one of the best for the movie but doesn't match T2 liquid effects.
- T3 final T chase scene in the hanger that leads to bad T termination is good in special effects but doesn't build the same intensity that T2 or original T did.
- Final twist was quite good story wise but not enough to save the movie.

Summary T3 had a couple of good moments... Truck chase was better then T2, TvT fight in T3 was better then T2 and ending twist was good. Apart from that T2 is lightyears better then T3 and yet was made 10 years ago.

i agree...

it has nothing on T2...

thought it was a bit of a bore...
going through the motions.. etc..

i do like the T vs T hand fights tho.. (the best bits)

I'm not the world's biggest Terminator fan, but I genuinely enjoyed T3. There was some really funny moments and the action was as good as I had expected. I thought the 3 stories were tied together quite well though the ending was nothing fantastic.

I'd definetly reccommend it:D
 
Great ending (T4 here we come) and plenty of little nods to the previous movies. Car chase was classic as well, give me that over the Matrix one any day. Certainly a better movie than I expected it to be.

Thought the T-X was the only thing that let the movie down a bit, she just wasnt...EVIL enough. She looked like she was trying too hard to hold the stony facial expression at times. But then, nothing will beat Robert Patrick for pure evil, so I should just be happy with what I get :)

T2 still owns it though :cool:

T3 lacked in originality and was nothing more than a remake of T2 ideas. Would have like to see something that made me "wow" as T2 did in just about every scene.

Only part about the movie that makes it remotely interesting is the fact that its a continuation of the story of one of the best movies ever.
